Went out to my van to see if it had finished filling and I could smelling something getting hot. I turned my booster pump off then turned it back back on, I could hear the motor trying to turn then it stopped all together, it had blown the fuse.
I'm pretty sure the pump has had it, but has anyone else had problems with their booster pumps?
Mine must be getting on for 3 years old now

I have just had to replace the rotary vane on my purefreedom booster pump, problem was that I didn't have it wired up to cut out when the tank was full so it run on dry for a few minutes :'( If your motor is still making a noise it could be that the motor on your booster pump is fine but the rotary vane has seized?

Mine has a controller to detect when the water has stopped supplying the pump.

It will be the capacitor Lee. Burnt out on my pump, replaced it and it works like new.
Search online, YouTube etc, it's a common problem and there's lots of vids showing how to replace the capacitor.

Thanks, I will have a look. Did your pump seem to overheat or just stop working.

Mines like yours, has auto shut off when water flow is low. I went out to check van and noticed the pump was cycling strangely, could smell a slight burning rubber smell then it just died.
That was after about 3years use.
Opened it up and the capacitor had melted, was a bugger trying to find the same one online but found it eventually.
Popped new one in, very easy, pump works fine since. That was a year ago

Great. Worth a go then. Do you remember where you got your capacitor from?

Ebay in the end, you just have to make sure it's the right one. Best opening your pump up first and seeing if the capacitor is still readable, it will have the type written on it.
Mine had melted completely so I had no idea what type it was!

clarke part no LDP1360002 not sure what rating it is as manual does not mention

Just had a look at the Clarke service manual for this pump.
If you call Clarke and order part no. LDP136002 (capacitor) they should be able to sort you out. Should only cost a couple of quid.
Also check the impeller is not blocked or seized.
