Does anybody use a virtual landline for their business ? Tried getting one with EE, but I am not a business as I don't have a business bank account ! Been looking at Vonage so can divert the landline to my mobile, but my question is can you have broadband with a company without a landline ?
Thank you for any advice.

Virgin broadband is via cable so no phone line needed. Good speeds as well.

Thanks, I will see if they cover my area ;D

virtual land line can be had very cheap. pay attention to diverted call charges as some are as high as 30-35 pence per minute plus vat. before you know it one call can cost you £2-3. please note that charges are based on network your mobile number originated and not on current network you may have contract with.
have a look at www.aql.com for starters.

I have 3 different no s with flex tel I have one 0845 no which was free and 2 with my area code which is 01702 which cost around £20 each so any one calling think they are calling a local no but in fact goes through to my mobile hope this helps marc

Thanks for the replies, the problem, I have had in the past is when moving house, and changing numbers. Thinking about it now it makes sense to have a virtual landline number so I am in total control, and don't have to change.

I've used Vonage for Two years now & it's fantastic!! Living rural, we get our broadband via a wireless transmitter system so don't require a landline. We don't have a virtual number but the features thrown in with Vonage are outstanding. Vonage extensions & voicemails emailed to you- even transcribed into text are just Two great features. We pay £7 a month for all UK landline calls, truly unlimited (no One hour per call limit like BT) and all the features you could imagine thrown in. You also have full control of all aspects of the service via an online portal too. ;)
