Did a patio, and path clean last week, and the neighbours car took a hit from some of the little slate chippings. Cracked the windscreen, and there are a few long light scratches on the roof !
Told them i would replace the screen, but going to have to get a professional to look at the scratches :-\
I thought I had been really careful, and I am really gutted.

Ouch, you might be better off letting your insurance deal with it.
Hope you get it sorted.

Gutted mate, let them claim for new window screen on insurance and pay the excess to them, it won't affect no claims, try some t cut or speak to local car body repair shop and they will buff them out in half hour, (£50 max ), then apologise and clean there front and back paving.
That sounds do able. And a lot less costs to you, a few hours on machine. Bite the bullet

He has claimed on his car insurance, and I am paying him his £50 exes. Taking a pro to look at the roof, and hopefully wont be too expensive.
