Hi Arthur,

All these products are very similar if not identical , being sodium tripolyphosphate.

I have used Craftex and like it.

Prochem now have Pureclean , which is MS in a powdered form , with obvious cost savings.

Cheers

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the reply. Another couple of questions if you don't mind?

What dilution ratios would you say are most effective? Normally i use 1 to 9.

What's your opinion of it's use as a spotter?

Arthur

Twaddle it’s like saying Tesco manufacture.  I think none them manufacture they source it and add there label, could be wrong but don’t think so! ::)

Spickandspan

With respect newbie 9 posts in business since 92 jumping in with both feet popping at ms, what do you use which you think is the bee’s knees?  Some of the spotters are very good

STAPRO SINGLE PASS   micro splitting formulation for the cleaning of carpets and upholstery haven’t used it missed the boat on giver ways (Derek take note freebie)

Cleaning agents is better word than chemicals h20 is a chemical we would die with out it, just being pedantic  ;D

Are you 100% sure, do Craftex have the faculties, too manufacture the raw material or is it imported/sourced in the UK and diluted and run though a filling line. Think you may find Amtech ms product is made in Germany

I was told by someone nick the formula.

Andrex is made by whom and it ant one company! ;D

Whilst I know Craftex from old, they have never been approached by Amtech UK to stock One Step, nor have they approached us to supply them with an own label Microsplitting product.

Hi Guys,

It's worth bearing in mind that none of the 'microsplitter' suppliers will be manufacturers of sodium tripolyphosphate, the active ingredient.

They may buy the solid product and dilute, adding a buffer and possibly a wetting agent, or they may buy it ready mixed and just rebrand.

This is of course equally true of detergent products , where the likes of Prochem will blend different chemicals, which they will buy from the main chemical manufacturers.

Cheers

Doug

So you think you know all the answers !

Steve Carpenter of Amtech UK has just issued a clear cut statement, which, hopefully clarifies at least some of the mystery.

In spite of what some claim, it's possible, with modern technology to copy, emulate and customise virtually any cleaning product and this will happen to satisfy consumer, or user demand.

If you wish to compare products, all you have to do, is purchase a small amount  and carry out your own trials.

As I've said several times.........there are few products in the c/c industry which won't clean, but some clean much better than others, some are much more economical, in use, some require you to be very specific in your methodology.
