For those with the rotovac how do you use it?
I generally prespray agitate leave to dwell and rinse with a wand. With a rotovac or similar it appears you can prespray leave to dwell then use the rotovac to agitate and rinse at the same time, therefore cutting out a whole cleaning stage and the time spent doing so. My question is does this really work or is my original way of doing things better?

Hi Robin,i love mine.Still amazed with the results on thrashed carpets.I think a wand v rotary, rotary wins.

Thanks,
What is your cleaning method when using a rotovac?

Could never get to grips with my Rotavac always found wand etc easier, sold it on few months after purchase always thought it left carpets too damp, maybe never got the hang of it properly but just struck me as an expensive toy.

Robin ,i just set up as using a wand, pre spray ,dwell and rotovac,Mytee trex junior looks interesting. All i can say i think its a great tool, build quality should be better. I think a rotary is the way forwrad.

have you ever tried rince/extracting AFTER rotary/bonnett cleaning?? The dirt that comes out is incredible, which tells me that rotary cleaning is not really cleaning. I know it does a superficial job on large commercials, but i now prefer to know i am actually removing the dirt for the client.......... got to be better...

Tim,
A Rotovac is a rotary jet extractor which you use with a carpet extractor. It has Three spray jets and three vacuum slots which all rotate spraying and extracting all at the same time creating multiple passes. It is very different from bonneting a carpet. Type in Rotovac to google and check it out.

Robin - I agree with Chem2 its an amazing tool in right situation - when I got a dhx I used it alot to begin with then it didnt come out that often same when I got a 360i used it all the time then went back more to wanding - would always like the option of having one on board and sometimes you just know when it will do a better job - but the wand is by far the quickest most effective way of extracting - will not replace good agit tho for me...

I bought mine for £750 about 10 years ago, mines the rotovac powerwand, I don't use it a lot but when I need to on really trashed carpets its the absolute b******s, worth every penny, the results are amazing, and the custys love it, had loads of recommends from custys who thought their carpets were beyond saving, but the rotovac has come to the rescue.
