Title: Cleaning Method
Post by: Robin Ray on April 22, 2015, 08:01:16 pm
For Carpet Cleaning I generally, depending on the carpet an soils pre-spray with a dedicated pre-spray ie pureclean, powerburst etc then I agitate then rinse using either an acid rinse or an in tank detergent like liquid woolsafe ( I like liquid wool safe).
I have not tried F90 yet and have only had a little go with ultimate master but it appears that with this type of chemical you can mix it in the solution tank use it to pre-spray at the same dilution then agitate and use it to rinse. My question then is does any one use this method regularly and with good results or am i better of doing things the way I have been?

Stuart do you mean that you don't use a Pre Spray and just clean with F90 as an in tank detergent?

Do you spray the carpet first with the wand prior to extraction?

How do do use F 90 Stuart?

Just as an in tank detergent, as a prespray or in conjunction with another prespray.
Do you ever mix it in the tank use that same solution to prespray then extract using that same solution?

Robin

yes mate I just use it in the tank, that normally does the job, but if I need any help I may use a higher ph prespray, but its rare

And yes only as an in tank detergent

I used to use Ultimate Master as Pre Spray , but like Mr Clark I found using my Powerbrush on most carpets I did not need to Pre Spray.

On really Minger Carpets I tended to use a more Powerful Pre Spray than what Ultimate master can acheive

I would use a solvent type prespray on the worst bits even if using UM as the general prespray  ,  insted of going the high PH route when not desirable .  Alltec suggest adding their citrus prespray ,which is dilute d-limonene id say .  I mostly use a dash of Butyl Glycol from mistral in my spray can these days , somethimes add alcohol ethoxylates .
