Title: Water Fed Poles

Another quick question.

Im setting up wfp and looking at a few poles on the net.
I know there are a lot on here that rave about gardiner poles however they are a little expensive.

I need 2/3 18/22ft poles and 1 35-40ft pole for three storeys.

Which poles would you start with

 Do you really need 3 or 4?
An slx25 will do pretty much all normal domestic work.

a good budget pole is the CLX  range from gardiners danny.skimping on poles is false economy though in the long run IMO.

ive had

streamline glass fibre 20ft(waste of money,binned it)
brodex hydra 25ft(waste of money,i gave it away)
CLX 22(good budget pole,i sold it on for £40 after a year)
SLX22(good pole.i still have it)
SLX25(good pole,i sold it on though)
SUPERMAX 40(too bendy and heavy at angles,sold it on)
XTREME 25(top 2 sections worn after 18 months used every day)
XTREME 25(new pole bought last dec with new metal clamping bands)
XTREME47(excellent high level pole,bought for £850 in the sale a few years ago)

Rob - I want one for work one spare just in case and one for conny roof cleans etc. was thinking of having a range of brush heads with one being soft,medium soft and hard.

Daz - CLX22 and XTREME it is then. I know what your saying about skimping on poles but I never want to pay too much but your right tho.

Ur having the same thoughts I had wen I started out, if u dead set on a few cheap ones, then go grab a few brodex poles off eBay but don't pay more than £50 each.

I use them for cladding, roofs and other non window cleaning.

I thought that when I started but soon realised that one good pole is better than three crap ones  ;D

If you are wanting a good budget pole get a gardener clx and you will not go wrong then at a later date you might want an extreme or slx or other but by that time you will know more and already be earning cash. A clx is a good bench mark started pole which can hold its own in the market.

Yes Rob ur very right there mate. I also think 1 or 2 main brushes the rest just get lashed in the shed or left on van roof, as it would cost more to pinch them then to buy. I think I paid £80 for 31' & 36' brodex. Worst poles ever

Get yourself a decent 'main pole' and convert a harris pole as a spare if you're looking at mainly 2storey stuff...

Thanks for the advice.
What length poles would you recommend for 3 storey work, i dont want to struggle with pole length on the more difficult windows.

Im currently looking at the clx range and maybe 1 slx

Just had a look at them poles matt and they dont look that bad.
Im going to watch them and maybe they could be used for conny roofs etc.
