I have ordered a ply lining kit for my old dispatch and thinking of buying the above to waterproof the ply before installing. ..
Thoughts please?

states for concrete, no mention of wood.

If you have a half decent van and you want to prolong and maintain the life of it then I can't recommend getting it speedlinered more highly.

how much water do you guys spill lol :)

;D tbh it's not REALLY for the waterproofing. Just ordered a new ply lining kit and just want to perhaps coat the floor to keep it clean as the ply would soon start looking shabby.

I was looking at a site other day for ply lining kits , its a place in bolton and they did a floor kit that was allready water proofed , if you go to there premises aswell they fit the ply line kits free off charge

That's where I have ordered it from
THE VAN LINERS but that pre treated kit is only the floor & I want side panels etc too. I'm getting it delivered Bolton is a long long way from me.

My advice is not to put ply down on the floor; paint it with Protectakote or speed line it (more expensive). Water will get under the ply and it will go soggy. It will also start to rot the floor.
One of the local lads couldn't believe the state of his floor when he removed wet ply wood from his van's floor. He Protectakoted over the ply - a waste of time.

im looking for them large rubber mats they have in stables, hoping to get some cheap, there about 6ft / 3 ft., just trim to fit corners.

If you "mouse over" the ebay picture the literature on the tin says its suitable for ..wood ,metal, concrete.
TBH i'd say its as good as protectacote. Everyones Protectacote nuts............its no better or worse than these other alternatives but its quadruple the price. Ok, i know its got sandy gritty bits in it for grip, but people are putting it down on Berlingo and Combo floors ? Jesus, get a grip. And when i humped reels in and out of a tranny they smoothed it off and back to bare metal in no time. Its paint, simple, a barrier between water and your floor. Gloss paint would do the same job. Waste your money on protectacote or don't, fit a wooden floor in an old van that probably doesn;t need it or don;t !!! ;D

I got one of these to put over the floor space in my van, the ply floor was removed and protectakoted, the mat helps stop the floor from getting chipped and scratched.

sorry its not that relevant to the op
Tbh though if I were to do it all again with a newish van that I hoped to keep a few years, I would leave the ply in and buy a diy fiberglass roof kit ( £70 ish ) cover and seal all the floor and a foot up and round the sides, neat , hard wearing and waterproof.

This is exactly what I plan to do.
