IME, square meterage of glass and time taken are not necessarily related as other things must be taken into account (not least, accessibility).
The standard suggestion is usually: Work out how long it will take you, multiply by your hourly rate, add a bit in case you've erred.  That's for sole traders - employers would need to do it a little differently.

Thanks for the reply,
I'am a sole trader AT THE MOMENT, accessibility is straight forward nothing to difficult at all and it includes in and out. What is the pence per mile at the moment ?

No idea mate.  I imagine that you must have a rough idea of your annual vehicle costs and how many miles you cover though.  That can be used to make some sort of calculation - while also giving some attention to travelling time.
Is the job a long way out of the areas you usually cover then?

The furthest i will have to travel is  around 30 miles for half a days work all the rest is within  a 15 mile 's.

Well I suppose you should enhance the price a bit due to your extra travel time and costs.  I don't suppose you can load that all onto one job though (unless it's veryu large) as I reckon that there is some onus on you to get more work in that area - or at least between there and your current work.
It depends how much you want/need the job really.
