so guys who uses what and do you think it makes a difference to the finish? ;D
-
Vision and yes it makes a difference
-
Vision. As without it I can't get a shine on windows.
-
Just pure and if my windows where any shinier I would need to wear a welding mask.
-
Gg4 - working a treat on keeping a shine on the glass and frames
Darran
-
My water runs through a resin vessel after the tank. If I used an additive would it damage the resin in any way.

i thought you were using vision darran?what made you switch to gg4 ?and whats the difference?price?
-
GG4 £35 for 3.8L
Vision nearly £120 for the same amount.
Couldn't tell you if the results are any different.
-
If you add to it, how can it still be pure?
We spend enough making it pure so why change it once we're there?

It would clean the resin. Nah the resin would probably just get rid of the additive :)

these additives dont change the tds of the water mate.they add a shine to glass and frames,a few bubbles and break the surface tension of the water when rinsing.
ive gone back to adding a bit of vision but half the amount i was using before.
how much gg4 do you add dave to say 500L?i think ill try some once ive used this vision bottle up.
cheers
-
One bottle of vision would last me around 5/6 months i would say. So about £3 a month. I can JUST about afford that.
-
10 ml - any less and I don't see the bubbles much so it probably isn't doing anything. Froths like mad if added the same time as the transfer hose is pumping.
I can't prove it's any better than pure water alone - could be all in my head. Doesn't seem to make the brush slip on the glass but does seem to make the water sheet better/faster.

Been using 2 to 2.5ML per 400/500 L Massive difference in the product. Great shine, still cleans plastic well, first clean are awesome and deffo less bubbles !

I used vision and had no problems with it, but I was impressed with Dave's testing and use of gg4 also, and no offence to the vision guys Titan labs have been in the chemical game longer. Then yes the price has to be looked at as well with 4 vans bringing filled per day.
As for pure water, it's great, but I will repeat what I noticed (and a few customers) that windows washed 4 wky over a period of time (eight months or more) never seemed to shine like they did in the early months with vision or gg4 this brings back the shine - pure water is a great cleaning agent but over time produces a dull finish to frames ( if you wash your hands with pure it seams to strip you of natural oils in the skin ) an additive restores this, my water still reads 000

Yes exactly Darran. On really bad cleans i used UBIK 2000. After the first clean they never really got that shine back.
Vision has fixed it. For what vision is costing us, i aint fussed. £3 a month. Dad seems really happy with it.
-
Still using Vision. Really does give a shine. gg4 ? one day maybe

We now supply Vision with a better lid and a 5ml / 2.5 ml spoon .
Glad persons are enjoying the product .
-
I would advise anyone to have a dabble of adding to their pure water . It really is cheap using Vision over a period of time .
-
Right that's it, I want some of this gg4 material !!!
We're do I buy it from Dave
Thanks
Matt
I have a nice section of blanked out windows, I will do 2 x 7 panel sections with pure and 2 with gg4 and post pic........ If it will let me, this glass is over due to be cleaned so will be a good to see the differences in same pic next to each other.
-
I have been using vision for about 2 months now, im in a different van for the next two weeks and am going to try using nothing again to see the difference, I belive it is leaving a nice shine and the brush feels nice on the glass so im expecting to notice a real difference in not using it today
-
Just pure water for me
As long as my customers windows are clean and I get paid I'm satisfied.
-
I tried adding a bit of gg4 (just enough to get a few bubbles when rinsing) on my home windows and it left bad spotting on the slightly hydrophobic windows. The spotting is quite noticable from inside when looking into the low sun.
-
Vision for me, 2ml in my 400 litre tank.
Couldn't get on with 1ml per 100litres, to many bubbles and slowed me down.
Half the dose is perfect and it most definitely makes windows and frames shinier.
Hoping the boys at vision tweak the ingredients at some point to make less bubbles then I will definitely use more.

Just had a look at Jigsaw's page - can't see anywhere that tells you the volume of a bottle??
-
Still got about half bottle of vision been using since December .
-
same as been using since dec, got about a months worth left so 4 or 5 months out of just shy of 20 quid aint bad
-
I am using loads since dispenser broke. I just tip it in lmao ;D

I do wonder if GG4 might have a dash of Ammonia in it - it's got a definite whiff to it.
"Household ammonia is a solution of NH3 in water (i.e., ammonium hydroxide) used as a general purpose cleaner for many surfaces. Because ammonia results in a relatively streak-free shine, one of its most common uses is to clean glass, porcelain and stainless steel. It is also frequently used for cleaning ovens and soaking items to loosen baked-on grime. Household ammonia ranges in concentration by weight from 5 to 10% ammonia."

apparently Vision smells without the added perfume
-
I take that back - apparently GG4 doesn't contain Ammonia :o

I've known a few women like that. ;)

Would GG3 work ok in a soft water area or is pure water all the same ?
The GG4 has softeners added so perhaps thats what makes the glass shine.
Steve.

We've improved on the dispenser by supplying Vision with a Flip Lid top and a 2.5ml / 5ml plastic spoon .
Plus In my opinion we have improved on Vision now , reference less bubbles .

Vision brilliant for trad and pole
