went to quote a job today where the owner of the property asked if I could remove a rust stain. the stain is quite heavy and sits just under an old boiler cover so I think it will re occur. I have heard a product called net trol is quite effective has anybody else got another suggestion? never had to remove rust before ive a feeing its not going to be easy.
-
Am not sure what to use mate, but I also have some rust on ceramic floor tiles, was there when I took over the job and I have tried lots of things on it but nothing touched it.
-
What have you tried ? Have you searched the old posts ? Its an acid that I also used to kill varoa mites on my bees ???

Probably because the tiles are porcelain not ceramic therefore you need a poultice mixed with an appropriate buffered acid cleaner

Probably a lot easier than you think ! Firstly eliminate the source and it won't 're occur then clean the rust with a buffered acid cleaner

I not really up on chemicals, just basic office cleaning bits, and washing up liquid, bit of rubicon to remove oil from tiles and that's me about done, oh ye don't forget the virosol, I use this daily.
I say ceramic but I couldn't be 100%, it's just a tiled floor to me! I think there was a metal stand there for a few years,

Hi Ed
Does Oxalic acid remove rust from K-Rendering too ?
-
Hasti , I see no reason why not . Do a test patch or speak to Richy L,
I am sure with his experience , he has come across this before with K- Render
