Title: NORMAL SQUEEGEE RUBBER IN SORBO CHANNEL
Post by: H MAN on March 28, 2015, 07:15:12 am
Had some squeegee rubber that did not work out in normal squeegee channels long while back.
So thought try putting it into a Sorbo channel.
As you can see that it fits the channel is 34inch long without the end clip.
Here's a close up.

I have just tried to fit an Ettore rubber into a Sorbo channel.  Unfortunately much too tight to slide along.

I have about 8 36" lengths of Sorbo rubber, you can have them for the price of postage if you like.

What we done was wet the squeegee rubber with soapy water.
Yes it was a tight fit.
We used a pointy nose pliers to pull the squeegee rubber through.

Hi KS, thanks very much for the generous offer.
I am in New Zealand so postage would cost several pounds (which I would be happy to pay) but the method of payment would be a problem. Thanks again for the offer.

Hi H Man,  I did lubricate with soap and used pliers but was much too tight.
Maybe the Wagtail rubber you used has a slimmer profile..
Oh, and enjoy the cricket this afternoon.

The squeegee rubber we used was silicon rubber got years ago.
They are thicker then most of the squeegee rubbers we use.
