Q washers are very good supplier, fantastic knowledge, and support.     If you are starting out Damian will give you a lot of advice, and he really goes the extra mile to help people.

Apart from the engine being too small (another storey)…so is the frame. There are two sizes . The unloader and/or the filter is going to get knocked off that …look how far they stick out. The are only fastened to the pump body with what is basically a "hollow bolt" (weak).
If you are going to buy one of him ,get him to build it in the wheel barrow frame one.

That's a great start up kit, the only thing I would add to it is another hose and maybe an some extra lances as I'm not a fan of quick release nozzles but apart from that its good to go.

If you are having one built get him to fit a  Interpump E3E2517C…he won't want too but "the customer is always right". The machine will be better all-round for  general cleaning.

It' s the biggest pump you can put on a gx390 and get the full out put. The 202 will only put out about 170bar@21lpm. Most users don't have a clue about machines so they are unaware of this.
Also near perfect jetting on your Flat surface cleaner will be achievable with the EVO pump.
Down side …some would argue…is no gearbox and the pump will wear out quicker. I'm on my second season with one which I have stripped and rebuilt just to see if there is any wear…there isn't. .

There is a formula to work out what's better but had a couple of drinks now so I can't remember it 😃

Hi Chris
You defiantly know about pumps sir , and yes i don't have a clue about any of these hence i have come to ask about it from guys like your the professionals.
This might sound daft question, but this pump doesn't look a brass pump, and i hear every one say the Brass pumps are the best ? is that true?

It is just a guide to compare machines (if you take the flow in lpm x Pressure in Bars and divide by 600) this will give you a number to compare machines – It’s not set in concrete but it’s not a bad guide.
Just to confuse you tho' . The machines you compare must be operating at the claimed out put.
So a ws202 /gx390 set up is claimed to be 200 bar @21lpm but in real life would be around 170bar @21 because the engine is not big enough.
Interpump quote for the pumps electrical horsepower…mechanical hp (what we use with an engine ) is different. So when inter pump quotes 10hp for a pump…it will need a 13hp "engine".
Adding to this a 13hp Honda gx390 engine is only about 11.5hp.
There are two "main" suppliers of GX390 /200 bar /21 LPM machines on the market . Jetmac and Q washers. ( I don't like either!) Although Q washers after sales is generally very good.
Pressure washers (the people) generally want to be bigger than the next company ,bigger tool (pressure washer) ,bigger nozzle,…bigger job. This does not mean the biggest pay packet.
These are only my opinions and somebody will be along to rip them apart shortly ;D

I followed the advise of Chris, I got in touch with Ben at Rutland pumps and he built me a machine. He also told me about the benefits and non benefits of the gear box, maybe 5-10 years ago 100% gear box but now days a direct drive is sound.

I love doing a bit of pressure washing

Hello mate,

I think Ben says it was gx390 20 or 21 lpm, am not 100%, it is 220 bar. I had mine built on a plate so I can bolt it down in van, it can also come off the plate, but I was thinking of have another plate made so I can fit it to the top of a water tote.

I wish I had gone for the electric start, it was a bit more but it's a nightmare some mornings with pull start, I was advised to get this but am all about cutting corners to save on cost.

He started off with a gx390 and I told him what I wanted even against some of his advise, I also got quick release fitting and 2 x 25m hose, really good quality, these are very heavy so maybe think about 10m hose, I will be getting one next week.

I don't know nothing other than it starts and does the job no bother but I think Chris says which pump to ask for, I will send you picture to email tomora.

Ben has been in touch since the sale and I have called him when am not sure of things, I can't say a bad word about him, nice helpful guy.

I will find the bill as the wife transferred payment so am not sure what final bill was.

Damian fitted a reel on the van roof ( facing out of side door ) so the  washer stays in the van, and we use a 10m thin extension, and a isolation valve ( so you can switch from using fsc to lance  quickly.

Thanks Samson
This was only a test today, we will refit the van on a later day.
