Cant belive anyone is bidding on it no real info or pics of sections which will look all nice and shiny because you have just sprayed them with lacquer .

I won't Vin , Mine looks just as good after a coat of Lacquer .
Just astonished that people bid on something without any decent info etc

Last summer, someone on here sold a knackered brush that ended up selling for 40p less than a brand new one from Gardiners.
Ebay really is a haven for brainy people. No, not "brainy", the other one.

I have sold a few poles on Fleabay, and it amazing how much people are prepared to pay for old poles !

Terrible isn't it ;D

Unbelievable but true. I've seen items sell for more than you can buy them brand new with a tiny bit of googling!!

You should feel embarrassed all the way to the bank.
Vin

Someone made a decent point on here (I didn't see it, one of my franchisees did).
For someone window cleaning and not declaring to the tax/benefits, buying kit off ebay leaves much less paper trail than buying off a supplier's website. So there may be logic in buying stuff like this.

Your over thinking it Vin its nothing more than pure stupidity, I have watched non work related items
go for more than they could be bought new on Amazon.

The transaction would just be recorded between two people & not itemised, instead of between the purchaser & a WC supply company. However, anyone with half a brain could get round this anyway just by having someone else order a brand new pole on their behalf.

I've seen that also. My guess is in some cases there will be false bidding to get the price up. I've done this before for a friend of mine. ;D

Finished and paid for
£181.20
MENTAL
-
You're all probably right, I'm overthinking this; I'm just underestimating the stupidity of people.
Nice sale price - At least they have saved £26 on a brand new, guaranteed, perfect condition pole with a brand new brush.
Twits.
Vin.
-
Don't forget its had 2 foot removed from the length so that would make it more expensive than the new price per foot.
Unbelievable.

Don't be so silly, Sean. The buyer has bought this pole because it's lighter than a brand new one.
About 2 feet lighter ;D

Never thought of that plus it also fills that gap in the market when an18 footer is just too short and a 22 footer
is just too long. ;D

I could certainly rustle up an SLX-18.
