Positive it's the swift I'm using Defo wouldn't recommended .

Looked on gardiners sight only seen up to 50, will ail them.

you can buy modular extensions  for the supermax range.  I've got the supermax 50 with the modular extension #9 & #10 on the pole all the time making it about 60ft and I also have an additional #10 section which adds another 5ft or so.

I was going to buy a completely new pole but didn't make financial sense on a big job once every 3 months so adding to an existing pole might be an option for you too?  Also I do find the pole (even with the added sections) fairly rigid when standing in the usual polling position but stepping away from the building causes quite a bit of flex and controlling the pole becomes a lot harder!

I would be interested to hear what other poles are out there for 65ft plus. Not sure if Gardiners have anything new in the pipeline?

I did borrow an old fibreglass 70ft pole for the first clean and the weight by the end of the day nearly killed me! Got arms like Arnie now!!

I've never used the ionics but I'm sure some one who come on here rated them.
Above 65ft  and you really only want to be using the gardiner extreme with extensions.
Go on the web site under poles there is a date sheet for pole specs (height, weight, price)
This will give you the best idea of what you need .

Just looked at the ionics price list and the swift plus-80  is £3125  :o :o

I rate the Ionic Swift+.
I politely disagree though CGH.
I believe that at 80' the Gardiner extreme is nowhere near as good as the Swift+.
Yes it's lighter, but it is nowhere near as stable.
I use the extreme purely because it'll fit in my van.
The Ionic used to have to go on the roof, and I always felt vulnerable.
To 65' the Extreme is best but that extra 15' to 80' makes it very unstable. IMO.
Money: yes the Ionic is £3k but the extreme is £1,200 + 6HS extensions @£250 each (prices from memory) is £2,700. Not a great deal in it...

I wonder how many have used both poles at 80' so can compare properly?
What I've posted is only my opinion.

Hi Paul, i,m in a similar position i have a swift 65 +, its a bit heavy but its big problem is at full extension its to whippy, also it about 5 feet short for my contracts.
Buy the extreme 47 and put the 4 bottom sections of the swift onto it then you have a 70 foot pole. Maybe someone on this site will tell me this is not possible, if that's the case then its extensions from Gardiner

I am suprized Alex doesn't do a longer telescopic pole tbh. It's got to be in the pipe line.

I use a big ionic 65' pole.

I hate it - does the job like but there's nothing nice about using it
