Title: Carbon gutter poles.
Post by: rah on March 18, 2015, 05:29:37 pm
Hello all,

Just ordered 6 lengths of 2m pole, as I have a big job on Saturday and need to be on it early, Looking for the heads up as to whether the Omni-pole tools are going to fit easily or if I need to modify the last piece in anyway ?

Cheers to all the info previously, great help.

Rob.

Poles arrived today :)

Oh my god, actually looking forward to using the vac now. Omni tools fit perfectly, though have added a couple of layers to the now dedicated end section for it to sit on.

I used to dread using the heavy ali poles, but now with the carbon it is easy peasy lemon squeezy   ;D

Lol Samson.

What tools are you using ? Omni-poles. Looking to reduce weight where possible.

Definitely worth taking on as an ad on.
especially if priced well.

I just need some new poles as mine are ali and very heavy if using 5 or more .

I paid £412 inc vat for the carbon tubes last year.   I use the 3kw gutter vacuum that Kevin from Tiling Logistics sells www.tilinglogistics.co.uk

The sections were £59.20 +V.A.T + £18 delivery.

I'm using the Omni-Vac  and there tools. Will look to replace them as I think they are over weight for what they do and it's the end of the tax year, so might as well burn the cash.

Used it to day 5 lengths with the larger opening tool and was a doddle, little windy, but the only concern was the Bentley on the car-park, but pleased to say, No issues :)

Really make life so much easier.

I too purchased 5 x 2 mt sections from carbon fibre tubes , around £400 inc vat and delivery ( I get the vat back so even better)  . Beats paying near on a grand for the ones off gutter vac etc , just slot together , really light and the difference between these and the aly ones are amazing , the aly ones are a pain if you tighten the clamps to much , mixed with dirt they become impossible to take apart and when full with mud weigh a ton , I developed problems in my elbow for some time using them.
