Title: Do you want to be on the Radio?
Post by: Lee Burbidge on March 18, 2015, 03:13:27 pm
BBC Radio 4 contacted me today from the You and Yours Program. They need me to help them with their research........
The story:
It’s about the high car insurance premiums quoted to people in particular jobs.
We want to hear from people who suffer such high domestic car insurance premiums because of their job title.
Confused.com sent some figures that show the average premium for window cleaners averages around £1,123.56
We’re trying to find some cleaners that may have had a raw deal.
Please contact me in my inbox TODAY, BBC deadline is tomorrow... you might find yourself on the Radio

BBC have been in touch again: so they are looking for one window cleaner who is a good talker ( as you will be on the Radio Show) and looking for just domestic and car insurance, so do you feel you have had a raw deal because your job title is a window cleaner? Have you paid more because of that and want to moan it out on the radio or say your bit about how you think you were treated ?

Do we really need more moaning on the radio, Lee?
Try and have something positive to say about something.

Yeah so far the feed back is that window cleaners are not getting charged high prices because their job.....  I wonder what questions the BBC asked when Go Compared sent the average insurance cost for a window cleaner in a private residential car insurance

I guess that would be up to the program makers, I'm not sure how they are going to pan it out to be honest. Chances are tho if they are looking for ppl who have had a raw deal - I can only assume it is as I mentioned :)

Maybe the high insurance premiums are the tradders who use their domestic day to day vehicle as their work vehicle

That's expensive, I've got the same van with less NCB and I only paid less than £400 this year.
Are you parked on the road?
In a bad area?
Etc etc?

Lets say nothing and just pay through our noses for a poope service we get from the insurance industry.
Do we really need more moaning on the radio, Lee?
Try and have something positive to say about something.

I don't pay through the nose at all.
Mine's cheap as chips.
My 'occupation' isn't window cleaner though.
Couldn't give a monkeys about the rest of you ;D
