After getting a Jag 6.6 it kept blowing vac motors but no trouble recently, have been told they've been improved so am pleased about that, has anyone else noticed they last longer?

How old is your jag? How many vacs have you had replaced and was it the same vac each time? Also how long since last repair?

About 2 years old and I've had 1 after a month then two in six months then another 2 months another went and none since I know this is nothing amazing but a big improvement and have been told that they've been changed, I worried every job that one would blow but all seems fine now, famous last words I know

nothing amazing ? :)
this is ridiculus, did you pay each time for the new motor?
-
No it is ridiculous, I meant the longer time with no problems is nothing amazing but its a big improvement on before and no I've had two free

Just to point out that this isn't a dig at Solutions, its the motors, every machine using them had trouble to start with, was only wondering if all other 6.6 users had noticed the improvement I have?

The problem I believe was the weak metal bracket which held the spindle/bearing in place. This caused wobbling which caused the motor to fail. It has now been changed to a cast fitting which doesn't move.

Cheers John, that's what Nick said and he still replaced two for no charge, just glad its sorted now, so all the time it was just badly made vacs causing problems
