Hi all would you buy a round for £10,000 and get £2,000 of work?
-
Trad work that averages £6 per house, needs collecting and averages £15 per hour then NO!
Wfp work thats averages £15+ per house, is paid online and has a £25+ hourly rate then YES.
There's lots of variables that you haven't included that would be essential questions to the seller.
-
this is the work
2grand a month houses flats shops pubs
All the work is in different areas in coventry. This work will come with 2 ladders 1 v shape ladder and all work stuff what is needed and will also put in my work car with the sale a fiat stilo 1.6 12months mot aswell.
all for 10k

Robert you are missing the point, how many hours will you need to do every week and how hard will you have to
work to complete this work.
If your going to working flat out 40 hours per week to complete this work then it wouldn't be a good buy in my
opinion.
If its handy and you trust the guy selling it then yes I would pay for it, but buying any round carries certain risks
and only you can judge this.
-
IMO
No mate, not at all. I think anyone looking at that would think I can build a 2k round up by investing a lot less.
If I was to buy a round and invest 10k into in I would want a bit more of a turn over, your giving him 5 x the value of this work. It would have to be good.
-
reading your posts it sounds like it is trad work, not a chance trad work is worth 5x value, I wish it was, I would be selling my round and building another :D
-
I think you are all missing the point,
it reads to me as if Robert is selling the work, including his work gear and car in the sale, wants to know if its worth 10 k , is that correct ?
-
its a round for sale on ebay, right now.
-
Oh............. Sorry.
If that's the case, good luck to you mate, you want 10k for 2k worth of work and you will throw your can if as a deal braker !!!!!!!!
-
how many crustys?
-
yeah its on ebay
all i want to know is would u pay 10k for 2k of work a mouth

How many hours does the work take? How many jobs is it and what's the average price?
-
A decent canvasser will charge you £4k for 2K worth of work. I'd much rather do that.

can you come and build me a round then what i mean!!
-
I sold a similar sized round and got 5x for it, but it was all wfp, well priced work, all monthlies with no messers at all, established 5 years. I introduced the buyer to every customer. He was more than happy to pay 5x as it was a quality round.
You need to find out if the round is quality before handing over £10k for it.

Robert I am not a canvasser but there are some good ones around who use this forum. I am sure they would help you.

I'd pay it if it had the right hourly turnover, as this is the most important part of any round.
No point buying it if it's priced so low that it takes you 4 weeks to turnover £2000.
But if you could do it in 2 weeks then it's worth the money.
Will you be changing it to wfp, as this could prove tricky, you will probably lose a percentage that are not prepared to give the wfp a chance.

No

P dale canvassing can't be that far from you?
He's very good.

It would depend on the variables
So yes or no ;D.
