Been in the business a fair amount of time, but removing cat pee odour from carpets is still a problem. The more you can flush the stain out the better, but sometimes the odour will still return.
What do you pros do?
I flush with a de-ordorizer, through a water claw and if poss remove replace u/lay, and disinfect floor areas.
Has anyone invented the magic cat pee removal yet?, and if so why not.

Big problem, especially tom cats who's urine is designed to attract a mate from long distances away.
Urine produces uric salts, these absorb into the material, especially concrete floor. Because they are hygroscopic they absorb moisture from the atmosphere reconstituting the odour causing chemicals.
We treat all areas with a urine neutraliser as a first step. If the floor is contaminated it needs to be flushed clean, this can take a few attempts, and allowed to dry thoroughly before replacing the carpet. Underlay is best disposed off as you mention. The carpet again has to be thoroughly flushed both sides and allowed to dry. Again this can take a few attempts before it is succesfull.

Hi All,
I have had great results using Bio Product's(Stapro)
Micro-clean. In most jute backed carpets I have to return to extract the dried stain residue/Browning
