Title: pole size to storey work

what pole is suitable for 3-4 storey work? i know storeys vary slightly but  just need approx sizes

A rough guide is 10ft per floor but usually its less.

Slx 35 will se you ok for 4 story work

I thought a 35 ft pole would be a bit short.

Why?

You gain another 3 to 4ft because you work from waist level, bit more if you raise you arms up, and unless it's Georgian window don't generally go to the ceiling so your not going all the up

Slx 25 does 3 storey work.

I have a job there, commercial. so you got ground, first and second. I need a 40' pole to do 2nd floor , proper pain as also need a big goose neck to reach over sills.

My next pole I buy will be super max as big as it goes ............


........... Only thing is, it's not me birthday til November so hoping to get one in an Easter egg.

From the commercial buildings I've cleaned, the more floors the less the 10ft per floor works.
30' for 3rd storey. 50' for 4th 60-65' for 5th 80' for 6th and may reach 7th.
10' per floor seems closer on residential.
Higher the floor, further back you stand too so need extra length.
In offices etc the floor cavity tends to be bigger for access, air con ducting and ancillaries.

Ur right guys I wasn't saying ur wrong, in a sense. I was just saying with commercial it's a bit crazy coz I can have 3/5 story building that are quite low and other building that 2 floor is very high.
I have a pole there and when it a fully out it's no good so I can only use it to say 32' but it's a 40' pole. Cheap crap, anything above this and the weapon of mass destruction has to come out which is a nightmare.

I have clx 27 with an extension. Also have my 35ft hybrid extel monster. It is grim having to use it now n then. Paul13 left me with an alloy brodex 35ft before he left for oz. So kind of him. :'(
