whats the best pole hose for cold water , find that the yellow gardiner hose tangles all the time
-
is that gardiners all seasons hose
-
I like aquadapters orange hose
-
Streamline lite 5 by Varitech / Streamline systems
-
I used the dreaded yellow hose you get free with gardiner poles for a year and I used to get so annoyed.
Order the gardiner all season pole hose it's 100x better
-
is gardiners all season pole hose suitable for push fit pole taps or do you have to get john guest fittings as well?as i need some more pole hose.
the aqua-daptor orange stuff is great with cold water.might just get some more.
-
seriously consider having a look at the black hose that comes with the phoenix poles, its a really great hose to work with
-
So why is it so good , Would be better if it was a brighter colour not black

Hi Dazmond, yeah, you can use the all season in the tap, but use the JG fitting barbs, as they will make it a better fix.

streamline lite 5mm would be ideal if the outer hose were made baby smooth instead of being covered in tiny dimples which attract all the dirt when laid on the ground which then ends up riding inside the poles.
Gardiners yellow all season hose is the worst stuff I've ever used as it's too supple to coil, ends up all twisted up and spend too much time untangling it, it also kinks and folds too easily.
I prefer the red PU hose from gardiners.
the red PU hose i got with my extreme 25 last dec split at the base of pole after 6 weeks use so its put me off getting anymore of this hose.also its too stiff for cold water IMO.

ive just bought 100m of nano-lite 6mm pole hose from aqua-daptor.it should last me a while.£80 including VAT and delivery. :)
-
yesterday air temp hit 10 degrees and my gardiners all season hose was transformed ... no more tangles / knots :)
-
Has anyone used the Xline pole hose?
I use 50m of pole hose on my reel instead of microbore. (Acutually it's 50m of pole hose attached to 50m of minibore).
I currently use Aquadapter red and it's ok but i'm always looking for something with less memory.

There doesn't seem to be a 'perfect' hose does there lads.

Hi Dazmond
The PU hose we sell is only recommended for use with warm/hot water systems. For cold water systems it is too stiff and will cause issues.

bring back the old soft yellow alex, i'm still useing 60ft of it on my backpack/sack truck bought when you sold the last reels off so it lasts!!!! its the best I've used & doesn't coil much if you straighten it a couple of times a day

Most people hated this stuff! That's why we sold it off :)
-
cant understand what they did with it though, its strong, nips & not much coil

I use that hose dazmond, it's terrible in cold weather, always knotting up and very stiff. I spend 2 mins after every house un -coiling it. Hopefully it's better in warmer conditions, iv only had it through the winter.

I quite like the blue pole hose from exceed's tubeless system.
The pole came with 15 metre and I've added anther 30 to it.
Warm water use and all good so far.
