There's something not right about the look of it, but I just can't put my finger on it.

I don't like the 'bearing' or lack of that the reel turns on. I also see the length of the drive handle making rewinding difficult - the leverage will be toward to unit itself rather than the hose reel.

Personally, I think it's cheap and not fit for our purpose. But that's my opinion.

But it is a handle   ;)


I doubt either reel will last as long as one costing £100+

I have one like this and it hasn't lasted 2 mins. Handles and bearings are ace, but its a meccano set. As soon as you put it down too quickly, the legs bend. Had to get my mole grips out a few times. How hard can it be to build a quality reel at a decent price

They look very neat and look well built , somebody must have one ?

price is pretty good too and i heard a rumour they are developing an electric version.

The Pure Freedom professional reels are good. I like them as they come with the hose already fitted if you choose, but they are pretty robust.

I have gad a Claber reel from Gardeners for 3 years a good reel for the money.

gonna get a claber, cant be spending a ton plus on a reel, cray prices
