Title: Enforcer pump airlock?

Hi,
I've an Enforcer 400psi and when I switch off the machine,
The pump dial stays on around 100psi and not return to zero.
Is there an airlock do you think ? Not sure how to rectify this, any ideas ?

No Glynn,
everything seems to work fine but the dial doesn't return to zero, and the pressure is as if it's starting from zero at 100? If that makes sense.

if you attach a tool to the water line does it go to zero? Could be a good seal and not enough pressure to force it to zero straight away (if that makes sense)

If you pull the trigger on the wand after you've turned the machine off it will release the remaining pressure in the pump its best to do this when you finish so as not to start the pump up under pressure. the other way is to open the black tap on the machine this also will release the pressure.

It could be the preasure gauge ?  I have one that goes on the outside of my Scorpy but when it became faulty and the preasure went right down !  When I disconected  the gauge the preasure went up

Hi,
When I switch the machine off I always release the pressure via
the valve tap , but today it went down to 100 instead of zero.
I'll have a fiddle tomorrow and see if I can rectify it, I'll let you know
what happens.

Ben, did you manage to fix it? mine stays at 200psi after I switch off the machine.
It seams to works fine but the minimum pressure that I can go shows 300psi but I can easily say that it is around 100 psi not 300 as shows on the   pressure gauge, and I can go up to over 500psi while the pump is 400 psi  ???

Same thing Mazan1,
stays on 100psi on the dial when machine not running and pressure released!!
Its due for a service with Ashbys but with courier charge and basic service around £400 plus vat !!! thats without replacing parts.

not sure what to do next

Have a chat with Chris at alltec and send it there great service by the time ashbys are done you might be cheaper buying a new machine  ;D

Could be a stuck open valve, ive never seen ashbys enforcer pump, they dont look like a pumptec but they are a plunger/ piston pump so they must have valves, ive had similar problems with pumtec pumps over the years

its one of the newer pumptecs  , 348u or one of those .
