Title: Using trolley system as van mount
Post by: nathan186 on February 22, 2015, 07:05:38 pm
Thinking about using my trolley system as a van mount. It's a pure freedom trolley. Has anyone else done this ? Is it just a case of getting a tank and a hose+reel ? Any advice would be great

Pretty much mate (dependig on size of battery & amount of work you do maybe a bigger battery)

Inlet from the trolley goes to tank
Outlet to hose reel

Job's a good un

It will all work, in theory. And in practice too it will work. However its my experience that your pump will not last you long if you go down the normal route of 100 metres of micro/minibore. They just don't seem robust enough for it.

I'm pretty sure the Pure Freedom Trolley has a sureflow pump so the pump should work fine with 100 metres of microbore.

It works great as a van mount. I used it as one for a few years. Perfect and also portable for awkward access or through houses so best of both worlds.

I've used mine as a van mount for years no problem.
Then the battery died so I stripped all the bits off the trolley and fitted them into the van separately. Got a new 75amp battery and all is good. Looks a proper neat job too.
