Title: Aqua tap
Post by: jim bean on February 22, 2015, 06:44:18 pm
Does this device just allow water to be turned on and off or can it also control the flow of water?
If not would a tap at bottom of pole work half closed to reduce amount of water at brush?
Thanks

Have been using aquatap for a couple of weeks, yes it can be partially open to restrict flow, I also still have tap on pole hose which I used before aquatap so that can be used also to restrict flow.  I still use the tap for awkward windows as I haven't yet mastered turning the aquatap on/off at full stretch, mind you I am using a CLX 27 so it is probably more awkward than a stiffer carbon pole.

Apparently Spring have a new controller out that has 2 speeds controllable by remote control.

Washing phase can be anything you want - lets say 30. Press the button on your remote and the controller will speed the pump up by 30 points or whatever you have set it to - to 60 in this example for rinsing.

How do you stop it turning itself off?
When I work with the pole to the left of me either up or downstairs, the pressure used turns it off.
Is this just something you have to learn to live with?

I'm hoping it will come with time!!! but easy to turn on again once you realise its off.  My wife uses one on an 18' clx for fronts only and loves it, but no awkward windows.

You can take it apart and adjust the stiffness of it by placing some ptfe around the two 'O' rings. Then it does not turn off so easily.
