www.cleener.co.uk (http://www.cleener.co.uk)
Its all my own work, so be gentle :-\
I need some help with the wording (as you can tell). I'm stumped at what to put.
The logo's a bit fuzzy, so need to sort that out.
I did the site using a template so I can't move the home, our services, contact us navigators. I would have ideally liked them on the left, but hey ho, for £3.99 a month you can't complain.
Can I have your comments and suggestions please?
Thanks
Ali

I think its really good it comes across as friendly and thats what people want these days.
Good luck

Thanks Ollie and well done on winning that contract. I'm just up the road in Swansea. My car's bogging, what do you charge for a Renault Clio?
Ali
P.S. Don't want to put you off - Its not that bad, just the usual sand and grub from the kids ;)
-
P.S. Did you all find the Home/Our Services/Contact Us okay?
-
Hi Ali im sure i could do you a "cleanitup" discount! If you want it doing just email me on amletcleaning@aol.com.
I thought it was all good its better than a lot of "professional" webnsites out there.

It's not bad at all. Possibly the feather duster girl image is a bit cheesy/ kinky, but I loved the 'our services' page.
You will have to make the home/services/contact links a lot bigger though - I only the realised they were there at all once you'd posted a message about them.
What's your opinion on www.heritagecleaning.com ?

Hi Owen
I think it's good. It tells you everything you need to know and I like your satisfied customer's page.
I also think your work schedule is a good idea. Could I be cheeky and ask if it would be okay to use your work schedule (I will adapt it so it's not eactly the same)? Has anyone got one for domestic cleaning too? I would like to attach them under my headings on the Our Services page, if that's okay?
I'm stuck with the Home, Our Services, Contact Us, because it was a template and I can't change it :(. I think I'll put please see below for our services, or words to that effect.

I like it a lot,
Nice clear writing of the right size & style/colour, particularly like the girl/maid picture, quite professional looking and a lot better then i could do.
To give you an edge, I would like to see another page with a as from price guide to give customers a idea of what your charges are!

Thanks Keith
I'm yet to ring around the competition, but when I do, I'll definitely be adding typical examples of my prices (prices start from, etc) to the site. I think it will thin out the calls I get. Anyone who doesn't want to pay my prices won't waste my/their time ringing (hopefully).
If anyone is looking to do a website, the one I've done was relatively easy, once I got used to what everything did. I did everything through www.fasthosts.co.uk. They register your domain, give you loads of different templates to chose from, publish you website, divert your emails to your normal email, i.e. enquiries@cleener.co.uk goes straight to my NTL email, you can update whenever you like, the form I did on Contact Us was just a click of a button, they've got a support desk if you're unsure of anything and you get a £30 Google voucher for ad words. It cost me £8 for my domain for 2 years and then its £3.99 & VAT per month to host the site. I'm well impressed with them. I was quoted £500 by a pro! :o I love a bargain!

I'm afraid not - that's mine that is. It's easy to write your own one anyways :)
-
daviesalie, if you want help in creating a pdf file for your own work schedule, let me know what information you want displayed and I'll stick it in my acrobat and create the file for you.
-
No probs Owen - I was just being lazy ;)
I'd be ever so grateful if you could do that for me Identiclean (and welcome to the forum). I'll knock one up this week.
Thanks

It'll be no problem, just tell me what wording you want and if you want any graphics or a specific layout, maybe to tie in with your website design or a logo in anyplace. BTW thanks for the welcome.
-
Fab thanks.
I've made a few modifications and managed to put some site navigations at the top of the page.
Could a few of you try filling in the form in Contact Us and try sending it. No need to fill in everything, just put test in the name and send. My sister tried it and it doesn't work with her, so wondering if its just her or everyone.
Cheers guys

Hi, i like your website, easy on the eye and fast loading. I would appreciate any feedback on the site i have built - www.cleantechcleaning.co.uk. Thanks
-
It looks really good to me. The only thing I found was the www and co.uk on your home page is fuzzy.
Ali
-
Thanks Ali
I thought that myself so will redo in photoshop. It's good to get other peoples opinions

Ali
-
Do you have Adobe Photoshop? Karl
-
Nope - how do i get it and what does it do?
-
It's software for working on pictures etc,. Where did you get your logo from?

As said before the black on blue writing at the bottom of the page is a little hard to read, maybe you could add a different colour outline or bevel it to make it easier on the eye, failing that I would consider a change of colours. Other than that it looks good, much better than the websites of some of the big companies who look like they are stuck in 1994.

Where did you get your logo from
I did it on word then saved it as a jpeg (somehow) I can't remember exactly. What's the best way to do a logo?
Ali
-
Well I do all my web graphics in mostly in photoshop or fireworks, I sometimes use flash if I want to make something move. I find that using proper graphic creation tools give you the freedom to express yourself and usually ends up with a better result. I definately find it better to do the work myself but we all have our own preferences.

Get some good comments from your customers and place them on your website.
You could also try showing a picture of your cleaners in a smart uniform with your company's logo. (This always makes sites look a bit more professional.

That is a picture of my uniform! (only joking)
Got no uniforms :-\
Got no staff :(
and got no customers :'(
;D ;D ;D
But hope to by July (well the 3rd one anyway). I will get some photos on there when I order the uniforms, but it won't be me, I hate having my photo taken. Anyone fancy a modelling job? ;D

be careful when you put photo's of yourself on your website. I put our photo's on at the start and kept getting dirty blokes ringing me up for sex services ;D
funny now, but just be careful, these people know my address and phone number i'm not letting them see my piccy on the website again.

Sorry to pester you again.
Apparently the form in the contact us page and the Recommend to a Friend still aren't working for some people. If anyone does get an error message, could they post what that error message is.
Many thanks
