After having copied John Martin and his vac booster (I had a single vac in a tool box) it works great. I'm now thinking of having another one done with two vacs mounted on a wooden frame. The question is about fire risk . The plan is to paint the frame and the inside of the box with hi temp paint that's meant for BBQ's and chimneas etc. Is this enough or is it back to the drawing board.
I had thought of a metal frame but the fact the motors are electric puts me off that idea.
Any thoughts ?

If it gets that hot there is something very seriously wrong.

So a wooden frame is fine then ?

Why not fit two in a bigger tool box with a fan the same as most portables have, that way no body can touch anything and get a shock.

Dan what machine is it for? Just curious about waste tank taking the pressure. Also curious about twin vac boosters

He did Shaun but the shape of the toolbox is no good for what I have in mind. Hence the frame question :)

What kind of two vac design wouldn't fit in a big toolbox ?
I wouldn't worry about wood catching fire but any of them need lots of ventilation ,
when i was playing around with my booster first i blew one of my vacs first week , with the lid closed it was really hot inside even though i had the exhaust vented to the outside ... heat will kill vacs , lazy solution was to leave the lid open a couple of inches but i must put some fans in ... perhaps two in push / pull .
Metal box , as long as you have plenty of earths to the box body it should be fine too.

I need the box to fit in a certain space john that's why the toolbox would be no good mate but thanks for the heads up about ventilation. I'll get a metal frame made surrounded by wood. Cheers Mate
