A classic example of this marketing can be found in your e'mail  '  in box  'if it's anything like mine.

I get superb examples of these, daily, whether I want them or not !

Usually they appeal to one of your  '' desires  ''  wealth, health , looks, etc and offer to greatly improve the  ' target 'usually by suggesting a perceived value, which is then ' reduced ' on a time bar, to a much lower figure, which your brain registers, as 'good value ' or inexpensive.

Then and they ALL do this...........'' and that's not all, if you order  / purchase, before 12pm today, we will give you ' absolutely FREE ' a superp duper gift, worth x £'s

The concept works in any market.......it's just moulding it to suit

I've always wondered about the 3 stage letter. You send 3 letters to the same 100 houses, would this bring in more work than sending 300 letters to different houses only once ? the cost is the same

I don't believe it would, but i might be wrong.

Apparantly it does work. My accountants husband who i have known since early school reckons that you post the first, they put it to one side. When they get the second they are spurred into having something done and remember the first and the third hits home.

They have picked up a lot of customers this way, albeit accounts, but since branching out she now has 200 + regulars.

Try it and you may be surprised.

I tried three stage letters quite some time ago, diddnt find them very productive but i only sent out about a thousand over a short period,I found that if the prospective client diddn't respond by the second letter they could become quite annoyed by the third and i thought this was a bit counterr productive as i wasn't trying to force people into using my services,Stu Clark

Stuart,

I think Neil isaking about the letter that offers a Free Room up ro 200 square feet which those who attended Alltec Discovery Days get, or received the  Mini Marketing Course

By making this offe  rhow easy is it to obtain additional work?

Thought I 'd covered the concept above.

The three stage letter is a very old, but successful marketing tool plaguerised by Little Joe Polish and many others.

First...........I introduce my service highlighting the advantages/benefits of MY system over THE OTHERS, usually with a time bar inducement..............

About two weeks later..........I'M back......Sorry we haven't heard from you, but, not to worry, we are still within the time bar period for our super duper offer.

Two weeks later.............I know, you lost and probably noticed the shadow in the hall /dull appearance of living room carpet, or whatever...........

In other words

Hello, it's me.....................stimulates interest

I'm back again..................if they have been contemplating c/c, they will probably call

Come on, you're about to miss out.....................well primed  and either ready....or not

You are better constructing your own, with a pleasant smiling photo which prospects can relate to.

Some one will have copies of JP'S or similar, but be aware of copywrite laws !

hope this gives you the idea

I havent tried the 3 stage letter yet but am always told by customers 'we got your postcard at Christmas and didnt get round to it but then you spring letter came.................'

All marketing works to a degree but you have to keep doing it.
