'Just look at the difference on these stairs'
Im looking but im not seeing any.....
-
Amazing indeed, especially with the 28psi high pressure pump and two stage vac motor, stunning performance.
Obviously I'm over equipped, Titan 875, 900 cfm's, 3000 psi pump and 270 degree solution temps😀
For only £530 I could have all of the Rug Doctor Pro performance :o

No wonder sales are down , how do we compete against such a brill bit of kit
-
Worst bit is its a fairly nicely made video and the operator comes across as professional and does all those little extras, then boom --- enter rug doctor...
-
But we know it's crap but the general public has no idea :o
They see that video and are impressed, I would be interested in what they charge for thier services
-
im glad they dont cover my area cause if they did i would be sh***ng myself
-
Colin if you did poo yourself you'd wipe your RS with a fifty pound note!

Peasants £50quid note I use £100quid note but ant got the titan £100m leave that one to Simon >:( ;D

This would be mega funny but the public will be impressed but in reality its an embarrassment to a cleaning company I pity there franchisees if that's there level of training the oven cleaning was even worse than the carpets and the curtains
-
I can tell you all, this company thrives at regular repeat domestic cleaning,
they have franchisees turning over £250,000 and some over £400,000, over £100,000 in the first year is the norm,
I personally know one of the founding franchisors,
You are all mainly missing the point they clean for say £15 per hour-this is their business model, they have employees and think/realise to have them out earning is better than not/or sat not producing - as employee costs needs to be covered,
they base their model on this, and its all additional to their main money tree of weekly contractual domestic cleaning,
- they are a success already - very very successful , their average franchisee will earn circa £80,000 after 3 years and goodwill will be worth way over 150k where'as your average carpet cleaner with a top porty or those daft & vain enough to have a truck mount - then maybe you can get your equipment value back and maybe earn 30k - 50k if your in the top few % but most earn below 25k and have a business worth equip value only after years and years of trading.
If most carpet cleaners in general or on here advertised their business its worth equipment value only, very sad but very true, but this lot you are scoffing at - if they go away for a fortnight they still earn the same money and if they choose to sell then they get a premium as their business is contractual, repeat, scaleable and very very sought after ,|IMHO.
-
Simon I think you are slightly missing the piont, we are not belittling thier business model just their choice of machinery, I can believe the franchise owner have profitable businesses but this does not mean they have made the correct choice of carpet cleaning equipment.
I would guess the franchise provider has a supply agreement with rug doctor to use thier equipment. this could have been done in the franchisees interest to get them the best price, but it has lumbered them with basic equipment which will not give the results a professional company should offer.
-
Most customers would be impressed by that video. It's only carpet cleaners who see it as funny.
-
oh dear, £25,000- £50,000 per year, I presume that is working 2 days a week and taking the other 5 days off then, that has been my business model for many years ;D
-
Mike - I get it and I mentioned to him all the points re-rug doctor etc
I was just pointing out they are fully aware of the situation and do quite a high number of domestic carpets cleans all with happy clients - same as their steam cleaning with a basic steamer.
As to earnings I know a few carpet cleaners earn a good amount and have staff.contracts etc - but my point was the majority of carpet cleaners don't, and have no contracts, repeats only a year or so later if at all, the business model is terrible, where as the majority of this lot do have a constantly increasing business profits/customers/goodwill value.
Just providing another view, the carpet cleaning method they use really troubles me also on principal so I wasn't championing it and I expressed that to the Director of the company - he is of the view if its not broken don't fix it.
They have a cloud based it system for instance that cost them a small fortune so he told me and he says it has changed their franchisees operations beyond all recognition, so they have a different focus.
I think my main point was its not the typical company/video/rug doctor user who is scratching a living barely operting just above broke.

The red carpet looks awful with those wand marks in it, it wouldn't take two minutes to brush them out and make the carpet look uniform with a professional finish.

When cleaning the suite water was dripping down onto wooden floor
With Rug Doctor there are two 28psi pumps not sure if that makes 56psi or not
If they are only charging £15 an hour they need machine easy to carry in very nice SKODA CAR Probably only clean nice homes that need carpets freshened up. Wonder what steamer they use for floors and curtains
