Hi Guys
Quick question, when it comes to your expenses do you generally claim a % of your water bill (I am on a meter :( ) or the amount of water you use on your van. I can work out the cost in litres but if anyone does use this method how much water would you claim on, I mean if you have a 650 litre tank how many litres extra would you claim from the waste that drains away?
thanks guys :)

Bit late for the stuff you've used (estimate that) but fit a sub meter for future water.
There's no guessing.
And as you'll be taking a photograph at regular intervals of the meter, you'll have evidence for the water company and for HMRC.

What about you guys? What's the normal to claim amount or % to claim on your yearly or monthly bill? I have heard about 50% about right?

Yes 50% Mr Goncalves

Great thanks Stanley :)

I claim for what I use, ie fit a meter pre where you take it from
That way it's simple and above board

I would just submit my bill in full, put it in with returns an accountant should just write it off.
100% 😄

My accountant said you can't claim any water used in a private dwelling, only industrial or commercial. Premises
-
David, so you don't claim any water... spoken to a few here that claim at least 50% of their private home water bill, and have been doing so for years?
-
If u can justify it then u can claim it ..... tap water is just raw materials.
try one of these..
