Title: Who uses Wagtail squeegees
Post by: lal on February 09, 2015, 10:50:48 am

Hi all, just wondering if any forum members use Wagtail squeegees for inside work, eg high windows, like car
showrooms where you would need a telescopic pole attached, does the swivel on the wagtail make high work
easier, and which type of wagtail is most popular, any of your views & advice would be appreciated.

 Best regards
 Lal

Yes i use a wagtail on a pole to clean car showroom windows that are about 20 feet high. Takes a few cleans to get the hang of it but brilliant when you do. Makes the job about 30mins quicker!

i use an 18 inch for shop fronts. use on tops  and it is ideal.

cleaning spot sell them.

only problem i have is the glue peeling off from the velcro strips. i bought my own velcro n trimmed them and used gorilla glue from  screwfix.

I bought the 18'' wagtail combi, but couldn't get on with the flipper action, so just took off the mop part.

I just use the unger extension pole http://www.windowcleaningwarehouse.co.uk/unger-teleplus-pole-system.html

I started using a wagtail flipper about 5 years ago & have never reverted back to traditional mop & blade. The wagtail flippers are, without doubt the biggest innovation in trad' tools since the squeegee itself!! Learn to master a wagtail flipper & there is no faster or easier way to trad glass. I cut my pads so that the soap "just" misses the edges & thus there is virtually no detailing necessary. Learn to master one on a pole & again, the time & hassle you can save on certain jobs is incredible! I do the insides of some hotels, nursing homes etc & the flippers have saved me massive amounts of time. Even though I'm wfp, I do an estate of bungalows all trad as with the flipper I can whip round faster than with wfp when you take into accounts van movements, reeling etc. Can't praise them enough. However, you have to put the time in to learn how to use them properly.
