You get what you pay for Daz.
Not been funny at all here but............

When you buy the cheap batteries for kids toys, torches etc you never expect them to last as long as the top of the range duracell do you? There is NO comparison.

It frustrates me that wfp'ers who invest £1000's on systems and  poles run there systems with 'CHEAP' batteries.

Caravan shops and low end motor factors will sell you anything they have in stock and claim it will do the job.

Not having a go by the way Daz! I dont use a system battery in my van, just straight from the van. The vans battery was £200+ (trade price)

I've had mine over 4 years. It's a Lucas battery. I run 1 pump off it & usually trickle charge it every other night for 12 hrs. Still going strong :-)

I use these lion batts, (the 110ah though) and charge overnight & rotate them daily, using a 5amp ctek intel charger and i think im on 2yrs with them. Can get these batts from euro car parts 4 around £80 as there is norm a offer on. What pump and hose size are u using?

Another good tip on batteries is to build it into a box and off the van floor batteries don`t like cold base. I always put a polystyrene/ sajex base at the bottom so it keeps the bse warmer. My dad always said never charge a battery on the floor.
My batteries last 3 years.
Apparently if a battery gets run down and also cold before recharging it will not last long.
