Title: Parts per billion folk?

Do you have to invest in a parts per billion tds meter? Do they make them?

I wouldn't bother, mate.  I've cleaned with a TDS of upto 30 (by accident) and all was cool and the gang.

Parts-per-billion is just Ionic sales-speak, designed to part cash from window cleaners with more credit than sense.

They might as well have said the other systems we've sold in the past were only doing half a job, some people will fall for it though. You can't get any better than 000ppm and even if you can your eyes won't know the difference

I don't want it - just wondered how it's measured.

I've got an in line tds meter measures that measure parts per "whatever"
So when it hit 0010.00  In reality it's then 001 on most tds meter in use

I know when it's 0008:56 it will need changing soon next few weeks

The only benefit I've found is I can keep a more accurate watch on the movements of the resin especially beneficial for me as I sell water and people pay of zero

Didn't we have this chat on Wednesday Dave? Or was it with Stephen?

Only accurate way is resistance really.

We borrow a resistance meter to check our system produces at PPB.

I have to say its total and utter &^%$£^*(*^%. So many external factors can raise the water away from PPB!

Even old pole hose will effect the PPB rating!
