Hello again
recently I have had to set my pressure gage on my 421 at around 700 psi as the normal 400-500 doesn't seem powerful enough.
is this likely to be the main pump on its way out or just the pressure regulator adjuster not working properly.
if it is the pump any idea how much a new one is?
thanks in advance

Had this on mine the last couple of jobs I've done and feared the worst, turned out it was blocked filters on wand so worth a look.
Pump can be rebuilt with new seals etc, get it looked at professionally as not a job for the amateur

difficult to advise without knowing if the pump is pulsing then there could well be a blockage in the pump head or one of the plastic valve has melted and stopped working or one of the o rings around the valves has perished. If you have not had pump serviced in last few years this is quite likely the case. If pump is not pulsating then it could be pressure reg or blockage. speak to Martin at H>M> he will tel you how to diagnose it. These are very similar pumps that are used in pressure washers and i have a firm locally who know them inside out and were able to diagnose the problem just by seeing it working. Just a £22.00 fix.
