I seen a link on here a while back, it was of a guy from ciu, who had converted his slx pole into a pressure washing pole, it was quite a good in fact brilliant way of doing high level cleaning.
Does anybody know how I will find the link again or does any of you guys know who it was or how he done it, I would like him to sort one out for me if he can.
Help always appreciated
Matt

Skip to about 5 minutes. They sell these here for around 500 quid upwards, and the lengths go to at least 40ft.

Swapped iphone for ipad now am home, fingers were so cold screen wouldn't work.
Thanks guys, I watched both them videos last night cozy, that's what got me thinking about this, It may well have been lee blast away.
He was just using an slx 22 or there about with a pressure nozzle, on it, am sure he posted that he would be happy to help anyone out. I will have a scroll through the archives now
Reason being a mc donalds were I clean the windows just paid £500 for some guy to clean the roof tiles right round, now if want a piece of this, 2 pikies turned up with a ladder, and a van mounted machine, with a whirlaway. Ok jobs done but I personally wouldn't be happy but the mcs are !!! It took them the morning 8-12
Anyway I reckon with this pole the job could be done in 3/4 hours max 1 person with free hot drinks while ya work.

Alright Richy,
Yes it's a clx 27 with thermoplastic hose. Very light and withstands more than 200 bar and heat

When the nozzle is angled in the right position I can hold the pole in one hand while it spraying up against an elevation.

How do you clean moss of off roofs?
I've been asked to quote 3 very large houses for full exterior cleans and the roofs have a lot of moss on them. I normally sub to a roofing friend and then after the moss is off apply AlgoClear.
Do you pressure clean roofs?
-
Is the whirlaway any good for roofs?
-
If you can find this video av been looking for you will see how easy it is to do, propa amazing.

Rhino - good god no !!! Time is money can't wait around for that algoclear to work ;D
Matty, I think you need to lock this thread, if everyone on here realises the potential of PW work you'll get the likes of Seank doing them MaccyD's for £50 never mind £500 ;D

Thanks Darren. At the moment I sub out roof cleaning, still make decent ££'s for not doing much, but obviously can do more if done yourself.
Thanks

Chris scott will tell you exactly what you need matty.
Everyone makes out that pressure washing is very simple (which it is in its basic form) but i can be quite complex once you get into it. Different surfaces, staining, access problems and chemicals can all add up to a massive headache

Nice one Danny, the video was exactly what I wanted, Chris seams to know his sh?t tbh mate, I think he listed everything I would need. He's been helping me out a bit over last few weeks with bits of advise on what's what with machines otherwise I would of bought a weapon of mass destruction by now...... Prob off president brasher al Assad - ready to take on isis with the Kurdish peshmergers haha.
My name would be Matty Muhammad alla wfp bagdadi - of the pressure washing brigade.
So nice one also Chris - help has been appreciated very much.
I don't have any roof jobs lined up but I will push for these types of work. I was watching a few vids on you tube last night and it got me thinking, bad idea when you need sleep.

Haha no worries mate!
Chris certainly does know his stuff and i would say has forgot more than most of the pressure washer people/experts on here know, hes taught me more than anyone or anything else i reckon! Also take a lot of things with a pinch of salt of here...im sure you have figured that already though.
My last bit of wisdom....let chris do the first few bits of work with you and show you how a "pro" does it and why....then go from there. Because trust me, you will get stuck on jobs due to problems with jobs, equipment and it will cost you more that learning from chris.
My thoughts anyway

Good luck on finding the right insurance

Really interested in finding a way to clean cladding this way, I have a massive factory to do very soon, down one side it is tree lined and covered in green Algae/Lichen but no way of getting a cherry picker anywhere near it, was thinking it was gonna be a back breaking few days with Virosol and a 60 ft WFP, finding a way to jet wash it would great?!
-
Awesome . I gave a Honda power wash which is possibly just powerful enough .
I'd love to convert a pole to do roofs and facia/cladding etc
-
I guess I just need to replace the hose n gun with a hose with a pole
-
Hi Matty it was me who Lee at blastaway got the idea from after seeing me use it on a job I subbed from him , drop me an email and I will give you some details

You will not manage to use one with with any sort of pressure nozzle on at that height what you will be able to do is use a rinse nozzle over the top of the brush which if you have a hot washer at 21ltr a minute makes the job of cleaning cladding at this height very quick
