Can't get £3 per mtr sq lucky to get £2cleaned and sanded lower for just clean don't rely on sq mtr pricing look at the job how long and what you need to earn out of it

To be fair when I first started out I was quoting £3.50 clean and sand and 2.50 clean. Yeah I got quite a few at those prices. It depends if your customer is going to get a few quotes you may not get many but some may only get the one quote and you will get a few. Also not all customers will go for the cheapest. However now it's quite rare I go by that pricing method. I will now look and if it's a job in which how long it will take, drainage if the drive slopes away from house etc etc. so for example I quoted a drive yesterday which was 100msq and quoted £150. Why? It only needs a clean ie no weeds or moss so won't be much sludge, it downhill ie water will drain away in to the road and there is a drain right outside their drive. Nice and easy couple hours work. Last year I would have quoted £350 for same drive. Hope that makes sense.

that makes alot of sense and it is good to meet the customers affordable exspense im happy with a day rate too so i can say the sq mtr pricing is a guide line price depending on conditions which wont go up either im not scared of a bit of graft lol

Personally I would start with a minimum price ie what you will charge regardless of size. Mine is £60 so no matter how small I will charge £60.  Then go from there.

I agree , sometimes you end up pricing yourself out the job , I estimate how long I think it will take me , factor in fuel for machine etc , even have an idea what hourly rate you want to earn etc etc
