Hi guys,
The reason the'leaks' are out there is because Bob 'polz n bladz' is desperate to get it out there now! But the manufacturer is being strict about it as its not complete yet. So really it's only been leaked because Bob is so excited by the product as he was the one who has helped them design it,
So there's no planned hype, it's just a case of a kid in a candy shop, over excitement,
I have trialed the prototype today and it's just a very good squeegee, simple, no bells and whistles, you just buy the channel itself and shove your own handle on it, or you can buy the actual manufacturers handles. You all know what it's going to be, and you'll all see it on the shelves soon, I'll do a quick review once I'm aloud. I have no affiliation with Bob or the company, I literally just asked Bob through YouTube to trial it, promising I wouldn't leak it before it's released. He wanted a few window cleaners to test it for feedback.
It's not going to be a super duper ergotech carbon silver gold formula 1 scientific squeegee, it's just going to really really help us with our job. It was a joy to use today!

got my 10er ready...
-
so its just the channel you buy good idea. does the channel fit any handle.?
-
Wallet in me hand here :D
-
I think it fits most channel handles, accept the ones that can only be slid on - which I'm sure there probably isn't any like that these days
-
When I first saw it, I was like - this looks a bit naff... But when you use it, it's just brilliant.

The old brass ones are still about. Mrs Cozy uses one sometimes.
-
it looks very cheap and does work very well also it fit most channels but it don't fit a ninja

Ninja is crap so that's no biggy, I think it will evolve over time, I've told Bob that I'm not keen on the colours, but it's up to the company...

It is moerman colours so that wont get changed

Yeah that's what I use for it, but it doesn't slide on as it completely comes apart, but i suppose you can still slide it on if it's loose enough

my tenner was 3 quarters of the way into his pocket but i have withdrawn it back now to the half way stage lol. i need a new blade iv dropped mine a few times this year my channel looks like a dogs been chewing on it

shoot me down lads but imho i reckon this along with dog earing squeegee's is a bit overkill, the way i see it when i detail the cloth will go over the soap that has gone on the frame so it also cleans that up and also as your probably cleaning the frames anyway so having a squeegee that has causes no detailing is neither here or there..

the way i see it is wipe frames over, soap up glass and blade off, detail glass, suppose if it cuts out the end detailing gonna save 2minutes a house

Lee burbridge has been posting it all over the place. No secrets here. :)

I used it on an office block I do yesterday, I did almost no detailing, I was finished 45mins earlier, just because you literally blade off and move to next window, so much faster.
I don't know what you mean by wiping frames whilst detailing, I don't think many do that, most will use 1 or 2 fingers pointed into the Window edges to detail. You don't normally drag the scrim all over the frame!? If you do then your gonna go through a heck of a lot of scrims!
I'm not a gadget loving man, this isn't some marketing crap, it really is the best squeegee I've used, it's not meant be flash looking like the ninja, they've just made a squeegee that works better than any other. For that reason I will now always use it, simply because it actually makes a difference.

i think fin is saying after blading he cleans the frames so details that way :s? i microfibre the frame, soap up n blade then detail if needed i can see how it might be a bit quicker

Yeah he's saying that he kills two birds with one stone, but hardly anyone does this, as your scrim would be soaked! Most people wipe frames first with as seperate cloth, then do the window and detail with a scrim after. Well with this squeegee you don't need to detail, which saves so much time. In the summer I expect the detailing to be almost non existent, because it's already good in the winter

No detailing increases speed dramatically. I have wagtail flippers modified to create virtually no detailing, so imagine a flipper with no detailing- four times faster!! ;D

Except it's not a flipper Mr Valentino Rossi :'(
-
I have so little squeegee work these days and enough rubber to last years - I bought a load at discount shortly before realising how good WFP is. So probably not worth changing here. I don't have much inside work either and most of that is commercial and cleaned with pads.

Cleaningspot now sell wagtail handles separately, I'm going to buy one of these new channels & a wagtail handle & adapt them to make a flipper. ;)

By all means try it!

I always thought the original flipper was poorly designed.
It had a pad about two inches deep but relied on the squeegee blade to press it against the glass - what's that 3mm?. Swivel works ok but the flipper is hung back to front meaning you had to flip it up to get soaping when it would have been better the other way.
I have a couple of Combi's - not bad but a pain in the arse when closing out on the frame.

Sorry chaps let me explain...when you clean a window invariably soap will end up on the beading of the frame, yes the detail will be with one or two fingers but usually by default the soap that's on the bead will be wiped off also. Also if you don't have any detailing surely you run the risk of a drip somewhere possibly. I've never tried dog earing so I'm only guessing. I've been a WC over 15 years and always detailed.

I see what you mean, I also only tried dog earring about a month ago, so always detailed, but this Squeegee removes the water in such a way that it's not on the glass at all, you may need to do a small bit of detailing, but I found yesterday that I hardly had to at all, only really when little mistakes were made. You'll see when you use it (if you do) just how big a difference it makes. As I said earlier, I'm not one for stupid gimmicks, but this actually works and works very well.

If you dog ear mate, there is sometimes a need to detail, but most of the time you don't need to. With practice, you get better at being very exact at fanning. Even old sweats like us. I've used dog earing for about 5 or so years. After about a couple of months, you notice you need to detail less and less. Try dog earing and see for yourself. I'm going to try this new channel when I get one (hopefully soon)

Apparently 'production issues' no idea when its coming out, should be next couple of months from what I've been told. Then again I was told it would be coming out this month, and it hasn't.
Been using a prototype from the moerman factory now for about 8 weeks, it's easy to use and really cuts detailing to a minimum. Should be quite cheap as well.
I should be getting a second prototype or final product in a couple of weeks to trial, hoping its 'perfect' so they can get on with mass production.
