Title: New Liquidator squeegee
Post by: Lee Burbidge on January 28, 2015, 04:10:55 pm
This documentary is to be released at the same time as Moerman's new squeegee called the Liquidator TBA but launched Feb/March 2015. A great tool and such a simple idea.
This film takes a look at behind the scenes of Moerman with a tour around their factory. We see how some of the Moerman range is made. We also discover the evolutionary path of the Liquidator squeegee from the 3D digital model on a computer through to the many prototype's. We also discover how a window cleaner from the UK, Bob Hatt AKA Polzn Bladz formed a close relationship with Moerman based in Belgium and how this relationship shaped the Liquidator squeegee.

Not sure about those name choices :) .  What next, the Receiver squeegee as part of the Catholic range?.

I've got one to trial, and will be doing a review upon release, I can't show you the Squeegee till I get the go ahead, it's a fantastic Squeegee, I have absolutely no idea why no company has ever bothered to make one like this. It makes a big difference.

Hats off to polz n bladz for pushing it through, it's about time!

If it improves my trad skills I will get some.

Unfortunately wfp is too easy to earn decent money.

Does it remove the bubbles from the glass left by you-know-what?

Having used a squeegee on the odd occasion I can't see any how any improvement would make a real difference but I'm happy to be proved wrong.

It should improve your skills,

I actually still do half my houses trad, and I find it's faster for certain houses, I've times it and trad can be much quicker on certain houses, might be because I'm so used to trad, so I fly round a house pretty quick,

Still love my wfp though

Not heard that statement,

It's just a squeegee that will make life much easier when tradding

I haven't sat and counted but I would imagine I have between 1 and 2 hundred Georgian houses. So no way would trad be quicker for me.

It has to be pivotal & have a flipper pad to of any advantage over & above the current wagtail squeegees- which are light years ahead of traditional mop & blade to begin with IMO.

all the same  poo... cant beat a stainless steel blade with a rubber grip. too many top of the range ultra expensive crap (unger ninja) blades that are waste of money imo

yeah not a bad invention to be honest, sometimes a bit 'splashy' though. no idea why people are saying they cant post a picture of this new blade, its on another wc forum  lol..

I wasted about 30 quid on 2 Ninjas. One for each of us. Use one of 'em to blade the shower door to stop it going rough withz scale.  ::)roll Like tradding with a garden brush  >:(

This new thingy looks like a lighter version but already dog eared. I'll give a tenner out to try it. Hope they do a 14" and something like a 20" if it's any good.

your lucky if you got two for 30, got  mine a couple years back for 27quid i think, its still got the very first rubber in it thats how much i used it... lol. to give it credit it does look pretty good to be honest, the guy in the video looks like he was just splashing slightly soapy water on the windows and even with all the exess on the frames the glass looked good. didnt clean the frames did he corner cutter ;)

Mr Cozy. You really know nothing.

The Ninja channel is made from aircraft grade aluminium so as you'll fly through the job so it must be super duper better than anything else ever made and with the name 'Ninja', what more could you want?

Have I got this right is it just a pre manufactured dog eared squeegee?

If so this is not new or invovative dog earring has been around for many years, maybe
Not pre manufactured but it's not groundbreaking.

pretty much, if you look at the video it looks quite good to be honest, not as bulky as the ninja and the guy using it isnt exactly using perfect technique and results look good

I think the corners are cut to 45* so it cuts right into the corners.
I saw a homemade one on u tube but it looked like it would scratch the plastic.

Well if it can't pivot, or requires a separate mop then it's behind already. Anyone can cut a channel, dog ear it etc.

Youll all see soon, it's not meant to be ground breaking, it's just the missing link in squeegees that's finally been addressed, it's not going to be like the ninja, it's not a stupid gimmicky blade with aircraft grade this and carbon fibre that, it's not got bells and whistles etc,it's just a very very good squeegee, that's designed with the user in mind. Not a stupid marketing canpaign...

What happens when you get a nick in the blade, do you have to replace with another or can it be trimmed to cut out the nick?

Lee's video was the teaser. This one was rubbish TBH. A prerelease 'leak' has to be done right or potential customer will be put off considering it.
