Hi guys,
I have been told that I should be looking at delivering around 5000 leaflets per week to make it worth while, do you think this is enough or to much?? Any rough costs on how much this would cost? And any good websites I should be looking at for leaflet printing??
Cheers

5k is a great amount if you can get them reliably delivered at the right price
Having spoken to carpet cleaners who have done leaflets and it not worked I would like to put forward a mathematical formula that I think is very relevent.
basically whatever your cost of printing and delivering 1000 leaflets equals then your average job price must be at least double that amount to break even and times 4 to be worthwhile
If you are paying £60 for printing and delivery and your average job price is £75 then you need to either increase your prices or find cheaper delivery or it won't work.
For printing unless you are great at design then I would use Mark at dp design for your leaflets.

Cheers for the advice, I will probably get 10,000 printed initially but deliver 5,000 first of all to see how that goes as I am a newbie. I will check out the web sites reccomended and see who is in the local area that offers leaflet printing.

Why not get yourself a decent website with good SEO then run a Adwords campaign in a few areas until your website ranks on page one.

I have my domain name just need to build my website now, I will try all types of marketing to see what works best for me and my area.

Printing comes out at about £12 / 1,000 for us, and delivery £30 / 1,000 (delivered with 1 other), so think about delivery - who you'd use & how much, & what areas, whether solo or in bundles - printing is secondary.
5,000 per week is good, but you don't need to jump straight to that level - that should bring about 15 jobs / wk - all of which need pricing up then doing.

£12 per 1000 leaflets sounds like a good price I would be happy with that sort of price but not seen it so far. Better get looking at who I can get to deliver them for me then and how much. I will deliver some myself at first just to get going.
