Just kidding, Stirlingshire used to be 15 mins from me. Too many boundaries = too many licences = too many unlicensed windys

Definitely!
No one from the council has been able to answer me why we need individual licenses instead of a Scottish license. It's now "Scotland police" instead of individual areas, so should be the same for licenses.
Money making racket mate.

I think it might be four zones but not sure.
I had to get a full south lanarkshire license as I work in most zones.

Not sure, I've got all zones on mine. Think the licence number is 13 which incidentally is total number of LICENCED windys in East Dunbartonshire 2 of which work for Mitie so that leaves 11 ::)roll

makes no difference if you have a licence or not. Folks down south think it sounds great and weeds out all the chancers. It does nothing of the sort. Also it does not help you make more money. it is a tax and nothing else.

what it does mean tho is that anyone who has a licence has been vetted by the police, I always mention this to potential customers

Which kind of proves the Licensing doesn't work to begin with then!! ;D
To be honest I was never in favour of it, it was never going to work. Just glad we don't have it in the borders!! ;D

vetoed by the polic emeans nothing. I know of a guy who has been in n out of jail for all sorts and is a well known thief. Guess what he has a licence from council.
it is a tax and nothing else.

That's exactly the type of people that it was brought in for, to stop thieving numptys having a birds eye view.
-
well it doesn't work lol. it is a tax pure n simple. majority of guys i know have been in trouble and few done jail time but all approved lol.
fairly hard for council to knock them back. you have the rehabilitation act where crimes drop off records through time.

An ex employee of mine had his application refused and had to go in front of a panel before his licence was granted.
