Title: Fan jets.......,
Post by: Jonny 87 on January 24, 2015, 11:39:01 am
For all you fan jet users out there which ones did you find the best?

I've got some gardiners red ones but I remember others saying they preferred another type?

I go through phases between using fan jets and pencils, last year was pretty much all done with pencil jets. I've now started using a much higher flow rate though so I fancy trying fan jets to see how they perform with a higher pressure. Pretty good I would have thought?

Thanks in advance.

Jonny.

Lumark - blue ones are best unless you wish to do a little more DIY building them

Then get these  http://www.spraytips.co.uk/index.php?url=//_--Flat-Fan-Nozzles-_/product/search.htm

And these

These of ebay absolutely awesome

£6.45 pair, you need to drill 6mm hole in any gardiner brush or brush your choice
they need an 8ml equal t I use same hot water pole pipe,

I like them because they sit flush with brush plastic so no risk of scratching or rubbing frame

You must of got a decent pair, I've tried these several times and are totally useless - they never fan properly for me.

And a follow on question.  I can't see that the nozzles have threaded sections on them (or am I missing something?)

Thanks,

Vin

Hi Darren

I'll agree They are different in there fanning but I like it, on higher setting pushes water off well
the others jets look good but it's the attaching them  without using to many fittings to reduce weight, if they had barb, be interesting to try as a lot cheaper

Depends how the bras ones wear, so far so good

Someone needs to make comparison of all the fan jets. I use Gardiner ones. Had quite a few faulty ones, but they give the best spray. The brass ones on ebay were bad. Sprayed more like a V shape

Thanks, Darran.

It's a shame their other nozzles aren't threaded, as it would give you a great deal of flexibility in choosing the kind of flow and spray pattern you'd like.

my gardiner ones spray pattern has gone a bit weird, being plastic I guess they can wear ? thought it maybe bristles getting in the way but not so. These lumark ones sound interesting but where do I get them from? anybody got a link ?
