Hi Guys
Can anyone tell me how to remove makeup from an 80/20 twist bedroom carpet - its almost a white carpet!

Do you have access to carpet cleaning equipment? It might just rinse out with fresh water, but you would need an extractor.
Pressing a damp cloth against it will tell you a lot, lipstick is quite thick so a lot of it with just transfer on a cloth pressed against it, start diluting it and it could penetrate deeper into the fibre.
Probably not want you want to hear but paying a proffesional to remove it might be better than DIY attempts, it depends on the value of the carpet and it's condition.
If you go down the DIY route then get the offending lipstick and practice with it to see how it reacts to different shop bought spotters (Mark up an inconspicuous part of the carpet or an off cut and practice)

Hi Mike,
Thanks
We have an Orbot Sprayborg and Various types of extraction machines.
Carpet cleaning isn't my thing really but we keep the machines in good working order just in case.
I was just wondering if there was anything I hadn't heard of out there which might help.
I will probably poor on a small amount of boiling water onto the affected area and soak up with a white towel - that's how we used to do it in the old days.
We started using pure water in our extraction machines in 1998 to help keep the carpets cleaner for longer, we found it important to give the carpets a rinse this way to reduce any sticky detergent residues behind.
Hopefully though our Orbot Sprayborg will clean up quickly and easily without the need for the water extraction machines - we shall see tomorrow as my lads are cleaning a celebrities house and we are hoping for good results.
