Title: K Systerms
Post by: Nicky1990 on January 23, 2015, 03:35:59 pm
Anyone had trouble with the syserms from this company . In dec 2014 I was going to have a new wfp put in our van after looking at most on line I was going to go with pure freedom as they had fitted a heater in my van before and there services is very good . Well then I come across k-syserms after reading there web site and then texting the guy all seemed very good and as they come to you to fit I thought that sounds Evan better. I sorted the price our for the tank and so on out then asked the owner off k-Systerms if he could move my pure freedom heater from one van to the system he was going to fit he said no worrys can you send me a picture so I know what heater it is . So this it what I done he told me it would be 45.00 extra . I booked this in for the 2nd of jan and he told me it would take a full day to fit so when it got to 1130am and he was still not at our unit I thought this was strage as it gets dark at 330. The guy started his work at 1145 and worked hard for the rest of the day it then got dark and he carried on till it was fitted he got paid and left job done . On the way home that night all the lights come on in the van so we called this guy and he said he would come back the following day so we thought far enough . We then get a text saying can you take it to some one else to sort out . NOT GOOD for customer service I thought . We he had not put the relay so that's why the van went wrong to the guys credit he paid for it to be done . The temperature the drops to -4 in Milton Keynes the next day the lad goes out to the van every pipe is solid and there's blocks of ice all over the van the guy had forgot to tighten most of the hose locked and the main feed into the tank not good once again . Today I called the guy called Neal and said my tank is lick a block of ice so the heater as not been put in right I do know he had to by pass a switch when fitting because he said it does not work after many calls and text messages today I got a text saying I only charged you 45.00 to fit the heater so if I pay you that back . You can get someone else to sort the problem . Haha he also told me to leave the pumps running all night so the pipes don't freeze. I called 2 company's who fit wfp and they have told me that the pumps should not be left on all night when the van is not being use is this true . I've now called trading standards where I'm waiting for a call back I also passed all this guys emails to me legel team . I would not have gone down this route all I wanted was the van sorted and that would have been the end off it as anyone else had this trouble

Then why would it stop freezing at night if it's for heating water while your working?

No, must be missing something, nothing about the heater running through the night  ???

I know you can get control systems ( gardiners/spring ) that have frost guards etc..
Do you have these ?

Not having a pop, just trying to clarify what your problem is, but when pure freedom state an installation cost of 400+ or to be done by a qualified person I'd have been doubious of someone quoting 45 quid

It takes PF several hours to fit one of their diesel heaters, it would probably take most of a day if you have to remove and reinstall one. £45 extra for doing this would have rung alarm bells as the guy clearly does not know what is involved.

Any time someone starts a thread about K-Systems the posts are overwhelmingly negative and people are strongly advised to steer well clear.

I never said it was about 45 quid, it's about firstly understanding why you think a diesel water heater will stop the van freezing ?

The joints leaked because you let the van freeze up, I'm not siding with either you or k systems, I genuinely can't get a grasp of your original post,

But what I can say is that PF say a day to fit a heater at £400+ you paid £45 perhaps you got exactly what you paid for ?

Who knows what your actual agreement was, certainly not clear to me

We paid the guy 2.5k  so the 45.00 was just an extra . The van as been to pure freedom to be sorted out and it's vost us 100s of pounds to do this . We are taking the guy to court over this . We have had a full report done with pictures what I would say now if your having a system fitted use someone who knows what there doing

It is quite obvious he had no idea of the work involved in swapping over the purefreedom heater if he only quoted £45.00. I was quoted £800 + vat from purefreedom to take out my 650 litre hot system and install it in a new van. I know you were only needing the webasto heater added on to your new system but there is no way this can be done for £45.00.

I actually helped someone fit a PF system in my van about 4 years ago, a 2 man set up, but not heated, so if I was a qualified fitter of WFP systems I would be charging £45.00 per hour, so yes, I would have thought a bit odd as well  ???

I also have not heard of pumps running to stop freezing, but have heard of frost guard, this comes on when temperature drops, the water heats and circulates through the whole system.

I have also been advised to steer clear of K-Systems. Not good!!

yep this guy is a cowboy, fitted a frame for me a few years back had problems but he never bothered trying to sort it out and then stops answering texts and phone calls. Be interesting to see the outcome of this if you take it further.
But would definitely advise anyone thinking of using him to stay well clear, hope you getted it sorted mate.

Zoe the man is a joke customer service is crap dont know what his doing. Trading standards have taken this up so will be great to see K systems in court . He offers 1 years guarantee on his systems but tell his customers to go away when they call him lol . And get it fixed else ware . When you sell something new you will find there's laws you have to keep to
