Title: Brodex / GrippaMax / Facelift Van Systems
Post by: The Jester of Wibbly on January 23, 2015, 01:16:13 pm

Which Van system ?

Feedback would be great.  Value for money, Robustness, ease of use and maintenance, Reliability, supplier  customer service, Level of winter protected/performance, parts interchangeable?

What do we get for the extra money we pay out compared to a DIY system.

Sorry if I have missed out any other brands, but happy to include.

Hi

A couple of years ago we were looking at systems to fit in our Van. We rang numerous companies before trying gippatank. We spoke to Oliver and found his Honesty and Knowledge of the product reassuring.
After careful consideration we chose Grippatank and opted for the driveway fitting service. The rest was done by Oliver and his team. We wouldn't use anyone else to be honest,Oliver's after sales support is second to none, and to know that even now two years ,later we can call on Grippa/Oliver, and they are there to assist. We cannot recommend enough.

None of the above or any missed out

Unless your unable to, I would DIY it's simple enough.

But if not

If I had to choose, it  would be Oliver at Grippa max  as I admire his honesty and time he will give you, time and commodity costs!

I think components and layout needed some time to evolve but tanks are well thought out and sit well in vehicle

Great thanks.

Looking to get a new system to fit into a new van later in the year.

I was looking at Brodex as I liked the style of them.  But looking at other threads there is concern they are over priced and parts such as pumps and controllers have inflated prices, so am walking away from that option.

Grippa seem to be the way forward however I am put off a little with the tank design as it seems to use a lot of floor space.

The Facelift systems lack information at them moment but was told they will have more info later in the year.

I got pure2o, a sort of value brand of ionics. Top notch quality and they always used to have a price promise where they beat any other quote. Not sure if they still do it, but I recommend nonetheless.

I have just recently had a new system fitted by grippa ,they went out of there way to fit it in at a busy time and delivered the van back to my door.
Why did I choose grippa?

There local to me.
There tanks and frames are designed and manufactured by them.
There double baffled and crash tested as well as fitted by professionals.
There systems are modular you can add ro/2man/heater/storage etc
There backed by gardiners a company renound for it quality products and excellent customer service.
There tanks have a low centre of gravity and handle very well when driving.

It's all down to personal choice but for me it was about safety, quality of build and service.

Thank you for the feedback guys.

We offer nationwide demonstrations of our systems if it helps with your decision. Your quite correct, our tank is the lowest crash tested system on the market, however we are currently in the process of releasing a tank top racking system so as to use that valuable space for keeping your tools tidy.

The V3 system is the most advanced system yet, watch this space ;)

In the meantime, please see here for references:

Great thanks.  The only supplier to reply, well done.

Any advance pics of the racking?  Sounds a good idea.

Also, after looking at so many photos now, where is the battery?

Good Morning Paul,

Many thanks for your reply - pleased we were able to help.

The pictures should be available early February, would you like us to send them to you?

Our batteries are usually fitted on the side of the systems within a battery box.

I hope that helps!
