Title: Pure freedom battery
Post by: LBWCS on January 23, 2015, 08:32:42 am
I have the two man pure freedom van system. Over the last week or so with two of us the battery has only lasted a couple of hours before showing battery low. It had been on charge for 24 hours. So I'm guessing I need to replace it? There's a Denka extreme leisure in there now. Can anybody suggest where or what to replace it with? It sits in a tray so ideally I'd just replace it with another Denka so I know it kits ok, but can seem to source one from anywhere. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance?

Hi

I came across this issue when mine died and I wanted to replace it with a 110ah battery. I ended up moving filter brackets and drilling ne holes in the "tray" so I could widen the vertical bolts that hold the top over the battery in place. They configure the systems differently now so might be easier for you. I'd avoid Tayna Batteries as a supplier if I were you. One thing to watch out for is the terminals I ended up buying one without screw terminals to save a bit of money and buying separate clamp on screw terminals off eBay. A doddle to fit and no problems once all adjustments to shelf made.
