Hi ,
I got offered a good deal on a carpet cleaner its a prochem endeavour the guy had 10 months on the warranty and it had only done about 5 jobs I got it for 1200 quid as he needed the cash quick
Before I got this I was looking for something a bit more powerful on the pump and maybe a triple vac motor.
My question is ,as this machine is a fair size I've brought extra hose as it's too big and heavy to get up stairs
will it effect the performance running say 50ft of hose with 150psi pump and twin vac motors which it has?
Does anyone have one of these or know what they are like?

Ive always wondered why Prochem being one the leaders in the industry don't offer a more powerful porty than the ones they sell.

I think this machine has twin 6.6 like jag/storm. Suction should be good at 100ft imo. But why fit a tiny 150psi pump? Maybe worth having a larger pump fitted if possible

I would check the pump and motors incase anyone has changed them ...
I dont know the machine too well but i presume they stick to lowish pressure pumps so as to have the two 6.6 motors and the pump on one cord ... and the 2.8kw heat on the other .
Originally they advertized a 150psi diaphragm pump with the option to upgrade to a 250psi rotary vane pump . The rotary vane might be an excellent pump ...anyone tried it ?
anyway the website now seems to offer a 220psi diaphragm or the rotary vane .
The 220 diaphragm is almost defiantly this one ....

so it would be an easy upgrade if u want as no return hose is necessary i'd say .
It should stair climb ? on the big back wheels ... it might get lighter as u get used to handling it .

They did dabble with a 500psi Steempro but not many are out there.
I am sure their philosophy is that if you need more power they have a range of TMs.
Prochem will have a clear outlook on their market.
This makes sens as many higher psi portables can be a compromise in respect of maneuverability and capacity/run times if making use of the high psi and of course the limitations of vacuum motors for recovery.

I went on a course with them a while ago and I asked why they don't sell a 500 psi machine anymore. Thy guy running the course said it was because too many people were over wetting carpets and 150 psi is adequate for a portable.

Just a word of warning !!! This machine has a real design fault, filling it up is a major pain, it fills from the front , it has a panel that you pull forward then you have a real problem, you can't fill with buckets you almost need to hose in your water, other than that it does a good job! Also it's a major unit

A good sized watering can is what you need.
Way easier than buckets for filling with the same capacity.

Thanks for all the advice I've got 50 ft of hose now so hopefully that will be ok for most jobs .
