Post by: Aaron stanton on January 21, 2015, 08:02:55 pm
Hi does anyone have or have had magnetic signage for there company vehicle? If so what did you think of it? how much does it cost? do you reccomend any companies for this?

Any info on this would be greately received as I am looking to go down this avenue initially for my start up company.

cheers ;D

I had some made up locally, normally i'd have the van signed but I got them as a temporary measure because I wanted to have the van resprayed but was too busy, still haven't had it done! Signs can be cut to fit any panel and will not fall off and look good. cost me £75 for two panels on my van and designed them myself with my logo using powerpoint, saved as a pdf and took the file to the sign guys. Downside they can be nicked but who would want them?

Hi, thanks for your comments they are helpful and the signs sound good so that's a relief. The only reason I want them is because my plan is to carry on in my current job part time so don't want my van covered when parking at work

Simon do you just have yours on the side as I had one on the front and it got caught with the downforce .  Nobody would want them but people do take them just for a laugh and to look the big man  or woman  to their mates

Had a couple of sets years ago but quite often got stolen and put on other peoples vehicles !

One set also caused the paintwork to bubble underneath, I think from trapped moisture so wouldnt use them again, !

It would only be a temporary solution hopefully, not sure how my current job would react to it to be honest might be worth asking the question.

Ian, I only have mine on the side panel.

I just wash the van once a week normally so they come off for a clean up. Hopefully I will have some time after the summer to have the van re-sprayed, then it would be signed as normal.

Can't remember when the van was last cleaned-it's certainly not a priority. But I'm guessing everybody else cleans theirs at least weekly on the basis of professional image and possibly generating more work. Can't say it's ever been a factor in getting/losing business.

What a dirty old git I must be. ;D

Hi AAron, try my Sister in law Karen Griffin at Griffin Designs - she does all my van signwriting. I`m sure she`d be able to do magnetics. She`s on 07720 883061.

Cheers,
