Title: MORE Blazer problems!!!!!
Post by: MAX Carpets on January 17, 2015, 04:15:47 pm
Hi, me again!

So, now the machine runs fine for about 5 mins, then loses power and dies? It starts again, then same thing! I have replaced fuel pump, fuel filter and air filter........any other suggestions would be very much appreciated
One more thing, when it re-starts I have to run it on full choke for about 5 mins, even when the machine is warm

Cheers

But if it was blocked, would it clear itself, then block again?

That's not the point, if the engine can't get fuel with the choke closed then there maybe a blocked jet in the carb. Failing that a restriction in the fuel line. Might be worth taking the fuel feed to the carb off and turn the machine over to check fuel is being delivered. If it is then it can only be the carb.

Will it run without an air filter?

Our starts to pay up after a few months and have to replace the filter.

The carbs are very simple and can be taken apart and cleaned.

My son took ours apart and put it back together.

You should be able to get a service kit from HM prochem or briggs.

Check the wires where the battery alternator thingee is, there's wires there that connect to the carb, if they can oily are dirty you can get a bad connection
