looking at the upcoming weather weekend into next week, were supposed to be getting some very cold weather reaching 0 or below through the day, do you leave heater on in van through day while your not working like sundays?
i imagine if you dont, things will freeze in the day ie pump, membrane?

I always left the heater in the van over the w/end or non working days if the temp was forecast to be lower than 5 degrees ( just in case it dropped lower ) had it set on the lowest setting or frost guard - a couple of quid spent this way saved hundreds in keeping working and no loss of time

ill simply disconnect my pumpbox and reel and bring them inside. ;)

Can't see the point having heater in the van when not in ise jut drain out hose I'm sure the pump will be fine

What about there membrane then ??

mine is in the shed now but when it was in the van i just wrapped a sleeping bag around the membrane and it had no issues .

i got a sleeping bag and some bubble wrap foil from wickes for insulation, its a brand new system dont wanna mess it up, i used to have an ro trolley that i karted in my house but now all in van as no garage etc, think its best to be safe than sorry

I think that told ya smudger wrap it up with sleeping bag that does the job !!!!
I don't have a complete system in my van as I've got my static tank r/o set up in garage with radiator. But as my hose is bolted and pump and battery are all bolted down in van I put the small electric heater on a timer come on for an hour before I go out which defrosts everything, then it's fog wash time through the cold days to keep the hoses soft and stops jets from freezing

Each to their own, mine are all kept inside, so I don't need any heaters in them any more. ;) :-*
